Memory Park is a tiny seaside oasis that overlooks a small cove along Seacliff Drive. The cove is currently inaccessaible from the cliff, but on top there are benches, great sunset views, and very few people, if any. The post-sunset moon & stars views, along with the sound of the surf(which does carry up to our residence) can be spectacular, meditative, & serene… but bring a sweater, since both the temperature drop & fog can be quite chilly. From our vantage point, 1 – 2 blocks up from the Park, we share much of the beautiful view & it is a brief walk for us down to this lovely relatively unknown, non-touristed, tiny park. It is great for the locals & the occasional quiet visitor. Since our area has only residences, two entrances, & no commercial enterprises, it is a very serene & quiet residential area… right off the 101. The park has no restrooms, but there is a water fountain, a picnic table, and some beaches. It is a welcomed oasis apart from the far more touristed(surfer infested), nearby Spyglass Park, and the tourist infested areas in front of the nearby hotels(Spyglass, Dolphin Bay, etc…)…on the other hand, you can get some great grub at LIdo’s or De Palo’s Deli to has a nice picnic at any of the tiny, or huge area beaches(or cliff parks). Just make sure to clean up & be quiet. There is a plaque in Memory Park, commemorating the dedicated service to Pismo Beach by William & Mary Costas, but I cannot find any other info on the web about this. If you have any more info, please add a review.
