Baseball, hotdogs, apple pie and Chevrolet! Remember that? If you haven’t had a dog in awhile, cause you think you don’t deserve one or you’re afraid to revisit your childhood which was probably not as bad as you remember, or your Obamacare pamphlet tells you they will kill you, or your hardcore Kardashian, wannabe workout has you starving, then you need to stop by Mr. Dog and meet two people who have it figured out. They are locals with a passion for simplicity when it comes to one of Americas quintessential street foods. Tacos are easy to come by, but a great dog is a real treat and I haven’t found one this good in a long time and at a stand that is cleaner than your Dentists office. Imagine surfing or paddling for a couple hours, or just hanging at the beach and you and your kids are starving. You begin to walk the streets of Pismo desperately seeking the solution for lunch. You peek in a half dozen places and know you will be subjected to the rigors of tourist treatment, (aka all show and no go), and pricey menus. Don’t waste your time searching and just head to Mr. Dog. A nice, lightly steamed bun and an all beef dog with killer chili and cheese, or crunchy fresh kraut and a bit of mustard, or mess it up with some jalapeños, red onions, ketchup and several other options and ice cold drinks. You’re on vacation, you deserve a treat, and this is an institution!!! Don’t miss it, If you’re a surfer and you don’t frequent this place then you need to! Still Frothy!

Mr. Dog has the beat hptdogs in town… I always eat there he has great food and great prices

Mr. Dog Hot Dog Stand is located in Pismo Beach 640 Cypress Street the sidewalk.
He is there most weekends and week days during the summer.
Look for the Umbrella over the Hot Dog Cart.
Just good old fashioned fresh hot dogs with basic trimmings, soda pop old fashioned dill pickles and other snacks.
Very reasonable!
