Sadly, the Bus Stop is closing in a few months. But it was great while it lasted. Enjoy retirement, Vic.

Enjoyed Open Mic Night… Loved the food too! Alcohol was available and it was good… from a Salem County winery. Will definitely go back. great to see Pitman Businesses offering customers what they want… And being successful at it. :)

Not a huge food selection but what’s available is good and the atmosphere is what you’re coming for anyway. Came on a Thursday and really enjoyed the crowd and the food. Great time and a great night.

For a while, I was going to the Open Mic Nights at least once a month with friends. It was great to run into old friends, and I actually got to meet some new people. As others have said, it is a cozy place with a lot of albums you can actually buy in the back. I only ordered food once, and it was pretty good. They also have refreshments like coffee, water, cookies, etc. if you just want something light. The talent is hit-or-miss, since obviously, it’s Open Mic, and it depends on who shows up that night. Pitman is a Dry Town, so that is why it is BYOB, but I appreciate that they allow that, since a lot of places in town don’t. I have never brought my own drinks before, but I can imagine it being a really good time. There is parallel parking along the street, but there is also a parking lot across the street. The location is great, since it is on Pitman’s Main Street, there are plenty of other shops you can walk around and visit before the music starts.

My husband and I came here for a quick lunch on a Monday afternoon when we were in the Pitman area. There was only one other table eating lunch so we basically had the entire place to ourselves, which was really nice because it gave me a chance to really soak in the atmosphere. The walls were filled with vinyls, cassettes, and shelves upon shelves of CDs. There was also so much memorabilia from various artists from all decades. Very interesting vibe going at this small café. My husband ordered the Cuban special panini and enjoyed it very much and I ordered the buffalo chicken on ciabatta which was good. They were out of the«Tony Bennett», which is the steak sandwich with horseradish so I was a bit disappointed. They do not have a very diverse menu since it is more of a café/music venue than an eatery. Exceptional service!

This is a quirky establishment, the inside decorated with album covers & records. The bands were great, Very talented young artists. Yes, there was a $ 10 cover, but so what, the money was going to the kids that played & that’s awesome for them. We ordered paninis, there was only 1 waitress for the whole place, & the food took a little while, but our waitress was great & we weren’t in a hurry so it didn’t matter. My panini was good, the Nirvana, grilled chicken, roasted peppers, asparagus, if it had a sauce, I would give it a 5, it just needed something to pull it together & add moisture to the sandwich. It’s BYOB, they do sell bottle of wine from a local winery, Auburn Road. I would definitely go back.

Why am I paying $ 10 to see a band at a glorified coffee house in South Jersey? Granted, a good venue for music… but really?

Visited yesterday for some coffee and brunch. It was a very inviting and relaxed atmosphere. Looked as though it’s a more happening night time location with lots of entertainment and local musicians. Would love to stop back in the evening sometime to check it out. Food was delish.

While the food is not exotic, it is enjoyable and well made. Substantial and hearty in make up. The atmosphere is the draw here as this is truly a neighborhood type of place. Very friendly staff. Atmosphere is like a record store. Takes cash only.

While I enjoyed the record store vibe of this café, the food was nothing special. Ordered a pannini, and was disappointed that they did not have fries as an option with my sandwich. They were out of cole slaw, sandwich came with a pickle and chips. I thought it was overpriced food that you can get anywhere with creative names. It seems like it would be a good place to go and see some live music(apparently Rowan’s Jazz group plays there regularly for shows). The service was slow, but polite and friendly.

Amazing décor! I couldn’t stop looking around the whole time I was here. There are so many album covers to look at. The food was also excellent, I recommend the paninis. A go to place for any music fan!

This is probably one of the coolest places that you can go to in South Jersey and let me tell you why. 1. This is a record store/artist venue/café all rolled into one 2. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive 3. I did not get food(which I am very upset about now) but my friends told me that it was awesome and with names such as Jimi Hamdrix and Nirvana for their sandwiches, how could it not be good? 4. It’s BYOB!(not sure if this is the case all the time but it was when we saw my buddy play on Saturday night) So in closing the Bus Stop has an awesome atmosphere(did I mention the records and cool posters hanging up everywhere?), delicious food, hospitable staff, good music, and an all around good vibe. If you are looking for a relaxing Saturday night, than look no further. The Bus Stop should be YOUR stop.

Where in the world can you find an organic resturant combined with a record store, music instrument repair shop, and concert venue under one roof in southern New Jersey? The bus stop music café of course!!! This joint is a diamond in the rough. Actualy, Pitman, NJ where this buisness is located, is avery nice and historic late 19 th century small buisness district. Plenty of free parking, very tasty organic foods with creative names such as the Janis Choplin wrap, et al. Friendly, family run buisness that ofers actualy some fairlyrare classic, psych, jazz, blues, etc. vinyls, cds, and even cassests(go figure). The aesthetics of the interior are second to none if you dig classic rock vinyls, posters, tapestrys, etc… all over the walls… A very clean place, that plays some great rock music while you dine at areasonable volume, unlike the hard rock where you cannot hear anthign buth te bad«rock» music that is the jackson 5, etc. playing over head… This place is reasonbly priced, offerig a wide variety of foods, even an ice cream palore!!! Some week nights and week ends live music is provided by bands that come as far as few hundred miles away to play this ecclectic place. The greatest assest of the bus stop music café is that it is locate a mere three miles from my home!!! This place literarly rocks!!!
