I had the privilege of visiting the Natural Chef Café on the campus of Central Carolina Community College, yesterday for lunch. First, I must say the students were so attentive and were probably the best servers I have ever had in my life while going out to eat. The food, was truly impeccable. What I liked most about these future chef’s, is that they are taught how to accommodate for people allergic to gluten, dairy and nuts. Being someone who is allergic to wheat, meaning I eat gluten free foods, and am lactose intolerant, meaning I steer clear of dairy, that really meant a lot. They accommodated my dietary restrictions and the food was great. It was very heartwarming to know that people cared about my needs and were able to feed me salad, an entrée’ and dessert just like everyone else. I’m so used to having to miss out on part of a meal because it contains gluten or dairy but I didn’t have to at the Natural Chef Café. The Chef(Chef Hamm) was so nice and informative about the meal, which was all freshly grown at the CCCC farm. I literally fell in love with this place, and if you’re ever in the area, please visit! It’s so worth it and it’s very healthy too!
