Great place! Would recommend the drive from Brownsburg or Avon. Spinach salad was great… Asked for steak on top and they accommodated. Shared with my wife. Sun King on tap for $ 3.50 per pint! Great price! Small place… Parking in rear… Locals come here… Looking for a break from your local joint? Try here… Doesn’t disappoint! May just become your new local spot. Only wish it were bigger so I could bring more friends…

Been going to the mason inn for 11 years now. The food is always great and the staff is friendly. They know you by name and most of the time they have your drink sitting on your table. You can’t ask for anything better then that. The place is always clean. Stop in and see how friendly they are and how great the food is and say hi to the owners gerrod and ann. It is now a non smoking bar. It’s a home town bar and not a hole in a wall! See you there!

Talk about a hole in the wall with great food. My suggestion would be to order the food then go pick it up and enjoy rather than actually seeing the place before you decide to eat there. Food is made fresh and has always been fantastic.

Took a chance on the Mason Inn today based on the reviews. Let’s start with the PROS: a) Surprisingly well-rounded menu. Even had a Caprese salad. b) For a low traffic area pub, the food was extremely good. c) They had Sun King Wee Mac on tap… at the LOWEST price I’ve ever encountered. There were three of us and we all tried different things. The chicken tenders were huge pieces of juicy white meat with just enough breading to keep them moist and succulent. They were served with a light barbeque sauce and a honey mustard that appeared to have been homemade or home-doctored(it had a perfect amount of horseradish added to it!). We also tried the«special» which happened to be fish and chips. Fish was very good and the«chips» were unique; large fry-cut with almost a gourmet seasoning/coating. Lastly, we tried an Indiana tradition — a breaded tenderloin. It did NOT disappoint. Served on a freshly toasted Kaiser bun, it was thick, perfectly breaded, and cooked to perfection. Now the CONS: a) not much effort put into the atmosphere b) server was so quiet and meek you could hardly hear her and didn’t have much of an outgoing demeanor c) they were«out» of to go menus and didn’t seem to want to make any effort to remedy it All that being said, for the price and the taste we’ll definitely make it a regular«go to» spot for a sandwich and a beer!

My husband & I moved to the Pittsboro area 5 years ago. The MASONINN has been a restaurant/bar where we always know the food will be excellent and the ingredients always fresh. Their salads are amazing, pizza is fabulous, steak, and other items on the menu have never disappointed us. We are so happy to have this restaurant in our area.

Large servings, inexpensive homemade food and drinks with a very small town feel. Smoking is allowed so if you’re not a smoker, sit in the non-smoking section. Ask for the ‘Creeper’ if you like a good, sweet cocktail.

Have ordered carry out pizza several times. Awesome pizza. Never disappointed. The ingredients and crust are top quality. The service when picking up carryout at the bar is always friendly and prompt.

Mason Inn is a small, stinky hole of a bar. The locals study you with intense curiousity as if judging your level of rabidity. However… Their food is so Indiana that it’s hard not to love! They make homemade chili(the bowl is Texas huge) and their salads are great. I was totally not expecting what I found there. My husband orders the calzone and it’s made fresh and the portion is unreal. So if you’re in the area for some odd reason, stop by and you may be surprised!
