If you plan on playing a tournament for Heroclix find another spot. The owner is really pushy trying to get players to buy boosters so he can make up on his investment. In addition to that he upsells the boosters to play in the tournament. They do offer a great selection of Heroclix and other table games, but actually playing at this spot has seriously turned me off from ever going to this establishment.

Decent selection of board games and other various related items. Friendly staff. Seems the ace is geared for people coming in to play games. Picked up a game expansion I wanted badly asap. It was pricy but I didn’t want to ship it. Looking around I noticed a lot of there products were more expensive than average even the ones you can find at other local stores. Their Catan games are $ 50, I picked up mine at Barnes and Noble for $ 40.

Good people the owner chris is a nice guy! If you like to play in big magic games this is the place to be. They used to save me a spot regardless of how crowded it was on a Friday when I ran one of my RPGs, such good times there!

I found this gamestore a while ago. It is a bit overpriced, but I had met a couple of magic players that I had enjoyed playing with. So much so that even after I had moved to Vallejo I still drove 30 min and paid a bridge toll to continue supporting the shop, but no longer. As a customer you mean less than nothing to them. They want your money and want you to get out.
I visited this evening. Bought an entire booster box and a couple of the more expensive booster packs. It was friday night and they had Friday Night Magic going on. Standard tournament followed by the booster draft. Now I am terrible in drafts and usually dont like to play. I prefer a more casual atmosphere. Myself and a two other players who were waiting on people playing in the draft decided to play while waiting. We walked over to the other side of the store since the draft had taken up most of one side. There were several tables with clutter on them. I suggested cleaning off one of the tables with only a few items on it. And was told «No, Friday Night Magic takes priority, if there is no place to play there is no place to play.» I replied with «we’re not taking space away from them.» And was told «the draft comes first» translation: if you didnt pay you cant play. Keep in mind that that very evening I had spent more in the store than 10 of those players combined. And have spent over $ 500 in the store this month alone. They dont even care about their loyal customers. So I will find another shop to give my money to.
bottom line, they are overpriced and without the customer service aspect there is no reason to go to this store. I will not return.

I am a total noob to places like this, but my friend recently got me into DnD and he is a regular here when he is in antioch, we were out to lunch and on a whim we went here so I could pick up a Dice set and a figurine for our game. Looking at the figures i needed one with a bow, they had it, it was just a little tiny plastic figure that you could paint yourself, but it didn’t have a price on it and I only had 10 bucks, i also picked up a dice set, they had tons of options for dice, so many colors and patterns, it was awesome, picked up a cheaper set of plastic see through purple dice. those had a price clearly on them. Got the figure and the dice set for about 8.50. It was a good deal. We did a little walk through of the place and there were a bunch of young adults playing different games on different tables. they had sets built for table top games, TONS of figures for all those games, books, guides, paint sets, brushes, card games. I’m not sure what the pricing is like compared to other places as i’m a total noob to all of this, but i think i got a pretty good deal and they had exactly what i went there for. The staff was a little awkward and goofy, but what do you really expect in a place like this?

Messy, unorganized, and overpriced are the words to describe Gamer’s Guild. Their store gives off this unprofessional vibe, their merchandise is poorly organized and not priced half the time. The things that do have their price tag are priced ridiculously. Also there is no point at selling your cards here they will screw you, they offered me twenty dollars in cash and thirty in store credit for a card, that they told me they didn’t have and that I would be able to buy for eighty-​five off of them. *edit I decided to change my rating to three stars, their employees are pretty helpful and insightful about the games they have.

Just moved to the Pittsburg area from San Jose… I’ve been meaning to get into some Magic here, but have only visited to purchase…
The staff and owner are cordial and helpful. the store is well organized and the owner has the inventory in a database… its a huge plus versus digging through endless boxes of cards…

So this is my first time to card shop. I walked in people were semi friendly so I started browsing half of the items had no prices and the other half seemed rather high. So I compared the price to local card shops and even Toys R Us. Toys R Us was cheaper on their magic the Gathering booster packs than the card shop. 5 dollars a pack compared to 3.99. Ouch what a ripe off. So then I called two other local card shops to verify booster prices and all booster packs are 3.25 to 3.50 at the highest. Even recent out of print ones were only 3.99 Do not go to this place unless you like giving your money

Battle Bunker Games and Gamer’s Guild are two sides of one big store. The staff greeted me when I walked in and offered to help me find stuff, but when I turned him down did not follow me or get all pushy. I went in on a Friday night, there seems to be a strong Magic community and from what the other patrons said is that it is pretty steady. I did see a couple younger clients although it seemed most of the Friday night clientele was at least high school aged, again not shocking since it was later on a Friday that I went. There were a couple role playing games in progress as well, which is nice to see since I might be in the market for a gaming group. I saw on their calendar that they also run leagues/​days for miniature games and board games, but haven’t checked those out yet. They have a massive stock of Warhammer and Warhammer 40K (new and collectables) but I was pleased to find War Machine and Malifaux too. They stock a wide variety of games and hobby items both current and collectors pieces. I am a nerd at heart and being able to find out of print role playing books that I haven’t been able to find for years had me practically bouncing in the aisles. The customers seemed happy and engaged both by the event coordinators and the staff. I am a big fan of being able to see the miniatures in person before buying so the massive collection was fun to ogle. I checked the paints based on Aaron K.‘s review, saw some that were dry looking but the packaging was shiny new so I asked about them… I was unfamiliar with the new Games Workshop Citadel Dry or Citadel Texture Paints, they are dryer looking than regular hobby paint-​they are designed to be that way. Which, by the way, was informationally helpful without turning into a pushy sales attack-​I hate pushy people. There is only one register and I did end up waiting in line behind the masses (on a break between Magic rounds) when I bought a soda and candy bar but the staff member was helping customers not ignoring them.
I will admit some of the packages were dusty although I wouldn’t go so far as to say grime covered. The «smell» was not really noticeable beyond the waft of pizza but I did follow in a delivery guy so that made sense, I am also not in the habit of sniffing random strangers. I have visited game stores all over the country and I would say that dust and pizza are pretty normal for a gamer store. I would not let my toddler or preschooler run free in the store, but honestly I don’t let them run amuck in any store-​even ones that are actually geared towards their age group. However, I am sure an kid who is actually old enough to fly solo would be fine. All in all I was pleased to find so many options with a knowledgeable and congenial staff, oh and not feeling like a zoo animal was a super bonus (being a female gamer gets mixed responses in stores). I was pleased to see several other female gamers present that night, which is always a good sign for me.

love this place, nice people, can just drop in and usually have some sort of crowd with games going on. great selection.

Friends & family shop here regularly. I finally got over there when one of my friends hosted a D&D event at the shop. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Good selection (especially miniatures), helpful staff, nice atmosphere.
