Stayed here again for 2 nights while attending a local fund raiser. Very clean room. Very nice staff. Slight smell of fresh paint in the hall tells me they keep things current. TV in room was nice. Room included a fridge, microwave and a safe. Everything worked and I had zero issues with anything at the hotel. Close to eating establishments. Good parking. They even let me put my motorcycle right outside the front door in a no parking area. And the price was right. Last time I stayed here I booked through and swore I wouldn’t use them again. Thus time I reserved the room on the motels website and got as cheap a price as it showed on the booking sites. Great place and I will be back.

For $ 80 a night I expect more than what this hotel offers. I just do NOT understand why rooms are so expensive in this town. Anyway, my dad and step mom down sized and so we stay here when we come visit, although I think I might try somewhere else next time. I am just NOT impressed with this place. The lady at the front desk was nice when we checked in, but the room was just meh. It was small and cramped, and didn’t seem super clean. It wasn’t dirty, per se just seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned well. Plus there were NO plug ins. Ugh. With three people and cell phones and laptops that needed to be charged, this was a real pain. The breakfast was ok; there were waffles, cereal, yogurt, toast, cinnamon rolls and juice, plus the sodas out of the machine were super ice cold, so that was nice at 6am as I don’t drink coffee. The water pressure in the shower sucked and the toilet backed up twice. Never enough to call the front desk but enough that I was afraid it would overflow. It didn’t thank goodness, but it was close! It’s close to my dad who lives in Frontenac, so that’s good, but that’s about the only thing good about this place, and since there are others that are close as well, I don’t think we will be back.

My husband stays in this Super 8 about once a week while traveling for work. He has always been happy with how the treat him and our dog, that travels with him. The people that front desk have even gone out of their way to make sure our dog got a fresh waffle! I have stayed several times and have always found it to be fine. I feel that it is a decent value for the price.

Strange – Warm, dry, and mostly clean. Charged too much for what it is — maybe worth $ 30 per night(paid $ 60 plus tax). Very thin walls — could hear people talking in other rooms. Basement room windows at street level. Bed not so comfy — firm and squeaky. Prayed not to hear sex squeeks from next room. Safe broken. Toilet backed up before we left — felt bad for the maid. Funky smell(this is before the toilet backed up). Creepy guy at desk the night I arrived — uni-bomber’s younger brother? Woman at desk next morning pleasant and polite. Maybe this is a Midwest thing, but there was a notice at the desk that said«no locals — in conjunction with local law enforcement, we will not rent to anyone with a local address.» Schwaa? What if your heat goes out? What if you want to leave the kids with a sitter and have a romantic get away?(A romantic getaway with the toilet backing up and the squeaks from the next room…) I asked about it and creepy guy said, «There’s a few bad apples that rooned it for everyone else.» What does that MEAN? He couldn’t say what those bad apples did. I have a hard time believing such a small town has a prostitution problem, but maybe I’m naïve. Perhaps the chief of police’s wife carried out an illicit affair there? My imagination is running wild! Someone enlighten me!
