I went to there salon earlier today and a I had my cuticle removed for the first time. I have 5 fingers with minor bleeding and ut hurts so bad. I had a nail polish and I don’t like the way it looks, kinda messy. I paid $ 20 maybe thats why it’s not perfect. In general you would like to have a clean and perfect service go to somewhere else but fore sure ut will cost you more.

Not only did the tech cut my acrylics off so short, but then when I asked her to reshape the nails, rolled her eyes. My thumbs are both completely uneven. she didn’t fix smudges on the nails, and overall she just didn’t want to be there giving anyone a manicure. Then when I asked for a second layer of nail polish, she tried to convince me that that color was ugly and that I just didn’t «need» it, when really she just didn’t want to spend an extra three minutes. Just a terrible experience, don’t go there. I’ve been getting my nails done for years and it was just a botched job, that I will have to go back to another better salon to have fixed for me. I would say that pretty much both of my hands are uneven, and the long acrylics are stubs now. It’s so great.

Nails were done pretty bad. Tech put acrylic on really thick after a week color was peeling. Had some smudges that Tech Mimi really didn’t want to redo. It is a very nice and friendly place was disappointed with the service. Wont return there again

I visited b&t nail salon earlier today to get pedicures and manicures done for two friends and I(spur of the moment thing) which they graciously said was ok(both is $ 50 for French tips on the fingers; $ 45 for both without French) Everything was ok until I was sat down for my French manicure; which I chose a silver tip for(not the typical white). I had kicked the habitat recently of chewing my nails so had white grown out on all my fingers. My gentleman who did my toenails and fingernails trimmed my fingernails down so much that there is not any white left at all. He then proceeded to do the worst French manicure I have ever seen. I walked my friend to her car because I didn’t want to complain in front of her. I came back and asked to speak to the manager. They told me that they were busy and that they couldn’t speak to me right now. I told them I’d wait until they were free; even if it was a long wait as they were saying it would be. The guy who did my sets came over and I showed him his work, explained that they didn’t come out as they should, and that he cut all my natural nails off. He said he would redo them and could I come back later? I told him I couldn’t come back and that no I was still wanting to speak to the manager. I waited and the manager turned out to be one of the other women working. She said she could redo them but not in silver. She took off the polish and tsked at my nails and said they were too short. I replied that ‘they weren’t too short when I came in; he trimmed them down to that length’. She painted my right hand in the French white tips and wiped the excess off with that brush tool. I took one look(mind you I had showed her what proper French tips should look like too) and asked her to take the polish off. I told her that wasn’t what we had talked about(the white tip was halfway up my nail bed; when it should literally just be the TIP; unless on fake acrylic nails) and asked for the polish to be taken off and for a refund to be given. She took the polish off and refused to give a refund! I left and went to the salon down the street who were more than happy to fix this salons mistake and take my money. They encouraged me to come back anytime and did a fantastic job to boot! DONT use this nail salon; use Kenny’s nail center down the street instead(401 wood street). They’d be happy to help you out when you use b&t and they mess up everything.

T has now left and the manicure was pretty for a few days, but then began to chip before the week was up. Unfortunately the technician used some sort of gel top coat, I did not get a gel manicure — just regular, so I couldn’t remove the polish as it was beginning to chip. I had to literally chisel it off so I could clean-up my nails. Unfortunately, I am looking for a new spot.

Not a great experience at all. The British man behind the counter smiled pleasantly and ushered me to a tech. He was on his cell the entire time and quite loud. The first tech was a lady who was rude and threw her hands up at me when I asked for a simple transition in shape of my current nails. I am assuming she didn’t speak English. After terribly rude comments about me and my nails(Yes I understood what she was saying) to her co-worker, he took over. He was nice-ish? He sawed at my nails and made them MUCH shorter than I would have liked. At least did a nice job in the end. It’s ashame for me to say this bc I hate negative reviews but– I would seriously go elsewhere.

Went in for a quick lunch time mani, the lady didn’t speak much but was polite and friendly. Overall she did a good job but I was very dispointed that I was charged 20.00 for a basic manicure.

Best gel manicure and pedicure ever. Came in from California and Unilocaled this spot. Was walking around town and they couldnt take me. Tried two other spots and came back here because it was the cleanest and friendliest. Glad I did. I forget the mans name, but hands down, best foot massage ever and amazing quality of polish. Thank you!!!

I was really hoping that I could find a decently priced nail salon downtown where I could go during lunch. Unfortunately this is not it. I was able to get an appointment the same day, which is the only reason this gets one star. The technician was nice, didn’t speak much, which I like. But the technician next to me was badgering his customer about spending more money and he was asking some very personal questions. I could feel how uncomfortable she was, and it made the experience a bit uncomfortable for me too. There was NO selection of gel colors. Usually at nail salons they have painted fake nails to show you the gel colors(since the bottles are not transparent), but here, you had to look at the bottles and choose. So, I just got a gel french polish change since I had gotten a manicure two weeks prior. She managed to file about half of my nails crooked, something I spoke up about, but got sick of bringing it up after 3 nails. She then proceeded to paint the nails. The base coats went well, but as soon as she began painting the white, it went down hill. She would paint a nail, then begin to file it, smudging what she had painted. She would then use nail polish remover to wipe it off, taking off the base coats from before TOO. She never fixed this, so many of my nails are cloudy with white smudges throughout the clear. The white tips also have bubbles in them and do not have a clean edge. I will probably cave and end up getting my nails done again at the nice salon closer to home in the South Hills… effectively wasting another $ 30.

I love the design of this salon, the location downtown is very convenient and the staff all do exceptional work. The owner(Binh)and staff go «above and beyond» to make sure you are 100% satisfied and happy with your service. It is a very clean salon and nice atmosphere. I get a mani, shellac nails done on a regular basis and Pedi’s too and never been disappointed. I have referred five other people to this salon and they all love the staff, exceptional service and treatment! Thank you B&T for your exceptional service.

Amy shaped my eyebrows extremely well and was very friendly. However, after the appointment, there was still some hairs that I had to go back through and pluck that she had missed. I will definitely go back but next time I’ll be sure to make sure I’m completely satisfied before leaving.
