You can never go wrong with buying their chocolates.

Literally right down the street from my house Betsy Ann has my favorite chocolate in Pittsburgh (sorry Sarris fans). Particularly their chocolate covered cherries and raisin clusters.
I also love (as does my wife) their Sea Salt Caramel Pretzels as well. Pretzels are fresh and caramel is perfect texture as compared to the «Snappers» that Edward Marc is putting out right now.
Very pleasant staff at their store as well.

Horrible, horrible experience.
My family purchased chocolate covered pretzels for me for Mother’s Day 2015. When I opened the factory-​sealed package, i realized there was no nutrition information provided. I thought all packages needed to provide that, especially since it was factory sealed.
Upon eating some of the pretzels, I realized they tasted stale. I noticed that the «best by» sticker stated 6÷30÷2015. But upon closer inspection of the package, the 6÷30÷15 sticker was covering up another sticker. When i lifted the sticker up, the original sticker was best by 1÷31÷15! No wonder the pretzels tasted stale!
To add insult to injury, when I called Betsy Ann corporate to notify them of the problems, the customer service person, Nikki, seemed like she could care less. She could not get me off the phone fast enough. No apologies were given, just that I could return the box to where they were purchased for a refund. This was a gift! What a great thing to tell my family.
I like to support local businesses, so will stick with Sarris chocolates in the future. I have NEVER had any problems with their products and their customer service is definitely better than what I experienced with Betsy Ann.

The best chocolate in the world. After leaving Pittsburgh, my family lamented our loss of Betsy Ann Chocolates. Once a year, I treat them and place a large order. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

While the product is good, my daughter sent me an $ 85 box of choloclates to Florida for Christmas. Now granted their website encourages you to select next day $ 45 shipping, it does NOT say that if you don’t, the chocolates will arrive unedible. They also suggest YOU have them shipped from Betsy Ann on a Monday, Now wouldn’t you think Betsy Ann would ship them to southern states on Mondays? How can you control when they’ll ship them. It was an utter waste of money!!! We contacted them, and they won’t do anything. Never again!!!

Having a local choco factory like Betsy Ann is wonderful and a bit dangerous. Wonderful because of the freshness of the confections in the boutique candy shop. Dangerous because it is close enough to my house that I often here the dark choco covered raisins calling me. Always friendly staff. Perfectly packaged for gift presentation. Reasonable prices. Great variety. Only draw back for this location is the tiny parking lot. I mean seriously, how’s a girl to safely back out onto Rt 19/​Perry Hwy with one hand on the wheel and the other routing through the bag on the passenger seat trying to feel for the to-​die-​for meltaway?

Betsy Ann is a great Pittsburgh tradition in chocolate. This small quaint and cute chocolate «factory store» is a sweet gem in the also-​quaint-​and-​kind-​of-​cute West View neighborhood (technically, West View is a city on its own). This is the factory store where they make, sample, and sell the chocolates. The store has delicious dark chocolate and milk chocolate, both truffles and bars. They also have a variety of chocolate-​based and chocolate-​related gift items (especially themed for holidays), sugar-​free chocolates, and a limited selection of nuts. You will likely enjoy looking at the different varieties of «chocolate art» present in the store that you can actually buy and eat.
Betsy Ann’s chocolates are on the tender side. Even their dark chocolate truffles and bars feel soft. If you are a *strongly dark* chocolate fan like me, you might be skeptical of this at first, but give the dark truffles a try and you will probably enjoy them melting in your mouth (don’t bite, of course, just let them slowly melt) as I did. The chocolate is pure and very rich in flavor. I especially like the dark chocolate truffles and the amaretto truffles, but their liquor truffles are also delicious. The sugar-​free chocolate is tasty as well if you can handle the sweetener; Betsy Ann’s sugar-​free is better than many other brands’.
The store is cute and the staff are very friendly. They will give you samples, describe their chocolates, and talk about the store (if you ask).
Betsy Ann Chocolate «Factory Store» is a must go if you are in West View. Even if you are not, make an excuse to visit the place if you have the time. I would recommend stopping by the Riverview Park and the Allegheny Observatory to sample the rich history and the wonderful natural beauty of the area while you are there. Now that’s a thought — a chocolate walk at the Riverview Park.
In short, go there, enjoy good chocolate, and support a sweet and friendly local business.

Hello! These are by far the best chocolates in Pittsburgh. They are super friendly in here and always offer a sample. I absolutely love picking out my favorites and getting a custom box. My favorite is the dark chocolate butter cream. Absolutely insane! They also discount holiday candy after the holiday has passed. This is a great place to get a gift and never disappoint.

We stopped in today for the first time. Karen greeted us and told us about their products. She also offered samples of various items. She was very engaging and knew the product line well. The candy was delicious and we enjoyed every bite.
