Right downtown, around from our hotel, this place has great cheese steaks. There is love in this sandwich, done right with grilled onions, peppers and mushrooms, it is not too greasy as you might think. A great sandwich.

I’m from Philly, so when someone says «cheesesteak» outside of my hometown, I am naturally skeptical. But this place won me over. The steak meat was good, the bread was awesome, and the whole thing was nicely cooked. I’ll be back.

Really good cheese steaks as close to Philly’s as your going to get in Pittsburgh. Everyone inside is really nice!

This sub shop is just across from the Westin and near the Convention Center. Cory bravely faced the hungry crowds from Anthrocon early this July and ran out of bread the first day! I went a day later. It’s a nice place. The staff is helpful. I only had a kielbasa so I can’t adequately judge their full range of food but it’s not half bad. When it comes to dealing with the ravenous hordes, the more restaurants we get in this area, the better. :)

Cory’s has just recently opened up, but this store is top notch! I thoroughly enjoyed all the food I had there. Cory’s cheesesteak is very good and so was the cheeseburger I had there. The sides that came with each meal were also all very good. The Macaroni salad is the best I’ve had and the prices were perfect for what was ordered.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, even when they were swamped with people. I highly recommend checking out Cory’s.
