Dollar Tree

I am a huge fan of this chain, yes I am! I don’t necessarily recommend their items over the brand names, however they are satisfactory in my opinion.
Some gems:
1– mini chocolates– Twix, Snickers, Reese’s butter cups, Hershey’s, etc. Great for when you need that sweet without the calories or guilt.
2– Twix and Snickers ice cream for when you don’t care about the calories or guilt
3– Golden Krust patties, grew up on these in NY. Stick with the beef, don’t bother with chicken, veggie is okay for those who don’t eat meat
4– chicken and veggie dumplings– delish, quick meal
5– medicines– like ibuprofen, allergy meds, antibiotic ointment
6– frozen veggies
Not to mention household supplies.
I’ve tried various locations, not all have a frozen food section. This location has an extensive variety of goods and yes it’s all a buck!

I found lots of goodies to buy, all for $ 1 or less: body wash, shampoo, face wash, skin cream, acne pads, greeting cards, etc. The products, which are occasionally brand name but usually generic, are a good value for the money. I did not have to wait in line for long. The cashier was nice. The store was organized and clean.

I believe this place may have just opened recently. Why do I say that? Because I drive by here often and I swear it was not there. Or maybe I think that because I drive by here and think of it as an office building and not a shopping destination. I have to say I am glad it is here so I don’t have to go all the way into Penn Hills to the mess of traffic.
This place is much like the one located in Penn Hills, albeit on a smaller scale (at least it looks that way). This one has a freezer/​cooler section which is pretty cool. I especially like that they carry Jenny O turkey products. When you factor in the cost of a six pack of Jenny O burgers but instead buy them single here, you actually save money.
It is neat and clean in here, and surprisingly bright. But that may be because of the fact that it’s new, or at least I think it it. ;)
