I cannot begin to express my love for this place! This is a discount store like no other… The love affair began many many years ago when this store opened in my hometown. Now let me warn all of you. This place is not for the faint of heart. This place is really not for everyone. BUT, if you’re looking for dirt cheap name brands this is for you! I had a friend once describe Gab’s(as we’ve affectionately learned to call it) as the last stop on the Value City or Marshall’s damaged goods truck. As if everything in the truck was run over and tossed back in and sent to Gab’s But darnnit, they’re such good deals! Warning: You will have to check for holes in clothing. Or perhaps a broken zipper. Throw in a mystery stain once in a while. Usually when I hold up a really great article of clothing, I spot a hole and say to myself, can I fix this? It’s either, yes I can or crap, this is ruined beyond any feeble attempts at reconstructing it! The really great thing is you can find that special diamond in the rough. The pure joy of digging to find those hot $ 25 leopard print Steve Madden shoes. And yep, I’ve confirmed nothings wrong with them! The white $ 30 Juicy Couture jacket that had one tiny tiny stain on it that no one would notice! Or stroll through the many purses and bags to find that funky Betsey Johnson bag you JUSTSAW at Nordstrom that originally went for $ 120 that’s now just $ 35. And guess what?! It doesn’t stop at clothing! You can always go through the home section and root through the piles to find matching $ 5.99 Pier 1 curtains or a $ 20 Ralph Lauren bedding set. Among the many hot pink plastic«You go girl» picture frames, you may find a nice $ 10 unscratched frame from a Walmart or Target brand. The options are endless! They even sell food at the check out line, which I’ll admit, I may have purchased at one point or another. I hope I gave you fair warning. Set aside a couple hours my friend. You may start with a shopping cart full of clothes and leave with only a couple things. But you can walk out feeling triumphant that you only spent $ 20 on items that may have cost you $ 100 somewhere else. Happy digging for deals!
