The staff was friendly and they did a great job styling my teenage daughter’s hair for an event. However, beware of the«and up» on their prices. Apparently, «$ 25 and up» equals $ 60. That’s a big difference!

My daughter has been going to Geno Como for about a year now, her stylist was Danielle Emmons. She called to make an appointment for herself and me(Mother’s Day gift) unfortunately she was told Danielle no longer works there. Gave us appointments with owner Geno for Saturday 5÷16÷152pm and 3pm. We arrived at 2pm my daughter was first. She showed Geno the length she wanted, he cut it shorter than she wanted and you couldn’t tell that it was chopped up all different length since he dried it blowing curls in. He asked her if she liked it, she told him she didn’t like how he styled it and that she would fix it when you got home. My turn, I should have went with gut feeling RUN but I didn cause this was part of my Mother’s Day gift. I told Geno I donate my hair to locks of love and showed him how much to cut off. I’ve been donating my hair for years and I know how much to cut. Geno told me I should donate my hair to Pantene and preceded to tell me why he likes them better than locks of love. Told Geno thanks for your input but I donate to locks of love. He put my hair in a ponytail got out his electric trimmer and preceded to cut off my hair. All the salons that have cut off my hair used scissors. Weird ! He cut way more than I showed him the back is so short the front is longer and the hole cut is choppy all different lengths. I don’t know what to do with this other than wear a hat for a few week. Thank God my hair grows fast. This man clearly should retire. I wish my daughter would have read the reviews before we went there and she would have seen Geno can’t cut curly hair. We got there at 2pm and Geno took my daughter right away, we weren’t finish till 5:30pm that 3 ½ hours to destroy two heads of hair. One reviewer said he takes his time I don’t think that the case he looked a little confused at time. Over priced $ 60.00 each for Geno when my daughter had Danielle she paid $ 35.00 but they don’t tell you Geno prices. NOT NiCE ! Save your money don’t go there and if you do you will be wearing a hat just like me.

Short of getting on my hands and knees and begging the stylist to cut ONEHALF of an INCH, I don’t know what else I could have done. Before every haircut I explain that I am very particular about the length of my hair — I want to keep it long, it grows very slowly, that it is IMPERATIVE to only cut a TINYAMOUNT off, etc, etc. I made this extremely clear to the stylist. She promised that she«wouldn’t do anything crazy.» Let’s just say I am using this as a cathartic outlet for my experience because I went in for a trim but left with FOURINCHES missing from my hair. I’m still recovering aesthetically and emotionally from this trauma! It just doesn’t make sense to me why a stylist would do exactly the opposite of what was requested. I think maybe she is used to cutting children’s hair and not listening to them. But either way, what should have been a really quick/easy trim, turned into one of the most extreme haircuts of my life. It all could have been so easily avoided. It doesn’t feel fair. Proceed with caution.

My husband and I have been coming here for the past six years and cannot say enough about the salon. Prior to finding Geno Como, I could never get the correct looking highlights/lowlights until I found Lisa here(I’m 44!). My hair has never looked so beautiful and I am so glad that we found such a great place. Everyone is so friendly and I love coming here as the salon has a light and airy look to it which is very relaxing, yet the prices are very reasonable. I have recommended more people to this salon and they are also very happy. You cannot go wrong with Geno Como!!!

You know it’s bad when you get in your car practically in tears because of how bad the haircut is. Having curly hair, I’ve had my fair share of terrible haircuts. The one I had at this salon was among the worst. I explained to the owner of the salon how I wanted my layering, but apparently because I didn’t tell him exactly how to cut my hair — since after all, I figured he’s the one who should know how to cut hair, including curly hair — it’s my fault that I received such a terrible haircut. Sorry, I guess I was too busy watching in horror as he blunt cut horizontal layers into my hair(exactly the opposite of what you’re supposed to do with curly hair). The owner clearly has no idea how to cut curly hair. And he’s overpriced to boot. The other stylists may give better cuts, but the owner’s attitude(«It’s not my fault») suggests this salon deserves no one’s business.
