I guess around early 2014 I noticed Dennis had left for greener pastures after 20+ years with the local fixture. All my subsequent visits were handled by an increasingly younger staff that didn’t know crap about the products they were selling. Was very sad to see Dennis go after frequenting the store for over a decade. Apparently the store is either closing or being reset by DoItBest corporate, but who am I to say? I only know I miss Dennis, his daughter, and their attention to the needs of customers.

This IS your father’s hardware store. Walk in and it smells like hardware, if it’s big or small they will have it. A few years ago I undertook a pretty good size project that I had no business even undertaking. I had more questions than a priest in a confessional and the great associates here at Greentree hardware answered each one of them for me, even drawing me a diagram for one tricky part of this project. When I went to purchase some things I thought I might need, the associate told me not to waste money buying a certain brand and the cheaper part would be just fine. Now that’s service! Now, I’ll go out of my way to give this place my business and keep them a float.
