Dr Johnson took a two-week absence from his office/practice(without advising his patients) and«farmed» his office off to some«service». I had a medical question about a known condition but, since the ‘stand-in” wasn’t familiar with my case, I was essentially told to wait until Johnson returned. Sorry, but this is not quality medical care … except according to UPMC standards. I WILL find myself a new PCP.

My experience with Dr. J has always been ok. As my primary care physician, I’ve been a patient of his for about 5 years now. He’s always been relatively helpful with any sickness or ailment I’ve had. It’s hardly ever difficult to get an appointment relatively quickly. It’s somewhat hard to really relate and connect with him, which is ideally what I would want from a PCP. His voice is unfortunately monotone and at times I question whether he really enjoys having younger patients. To be honest, I’m typically the youngest person in the waiting room, so I would maybe recommend another doctor who has experience with dealing with younger clientele if you’re in your 20s. Nevertheless, my experiences have always been good enough not to warrant me putting forth the effort to switch doctors(sigh, that would require so much energy)…
