What a cute little place!
Little Donut Shop opened this past October (2011) and the smells wafting onto East Carson Street have been tempting me ever since. I finally poked my head in here yesterday morning for a donut and coffee (their combo’s only a dollar!) and walked out with a baker’s dozen and coffee — all for $ 5. While they lack a few standard bearers (Boston Crème, French Cruller, etc.), the selection they did have was deeeelish! My favorites were the caramel/​chocolate, cinnamon sugar, and powdered sugar. Something about the extra crispiness of tiny, homemade donuts just sold this place!
Service is fantastic in that friendly, neighborhood way (think Pittsburgh back in the ‘50s). Will definitely have to work this place into my morning routine! (That is, if my belt buckle allows me.)
