Pittsburgh Flea is a budding endeavour to create a large, diverse flea market right in the Strip District. The location was a bit tricky to find because the flea market is still small, but there were a lot of neat things to be found regardless of the number of vendors. One vendor had an awesome selection of vintage furniture and home decorating accessories from the 50s-70s that were all in great condition(the seller had a very selectively curated inventory). There was also a lot of jewelry, decorative glass for a great price, and a bevy of other items. My husband and I walked away with a case of practically new Craftsman tools for $ 30(always check that the battery pack works before buying cordless tools, kids. $ 30 is a real score considering it did work.) and a never used piece of new, carry on luggage for $ 5. Everyone in the group I took was able to leave with some item that they got at a fair price. Go out and support these local shops and help the flea market grow into something really big and great!
