Learned about this company through a friend of mine who stumbled upon the shop a few years ago. They set up shop at the Bloomfield market on weekends. So, I ventured over to see what all the fuss has been about. Well — YUM. The syrupy balsamic is to die for and the variety in olive oil choices is simply amazing. I hear the owner spends time in California refining her craft and learning from the best at UC Davis. Way to go; a nice product.

This place is awesome! They have so many olive oil & vinegar choices… kind of overwhelming @ first. There’s about 20 or 30 different flavors that are open for sampling. I think I tried almost every flavor. Heather, the owner also gave us some suggestions on mixing different flavors together & different ideas to use them with. Heather was very knowledgable & friendly.
They also carry jams from The Berry Patch. Which if you don’t know them, The Berry Patch is a local business that makes all their own jams, jellies & butters from scratch. They used to be @ the Public Market in the Strip but now you can find their products @ Olive & Marlow.
And the baked goods they carry from La Gourmandine bakery in Lawrenceville are amazing!
The oils & vinegars are a little pricey but I feel they are totally worth it because you are getting organic, fresh, unique/​original, great tasting oils & vinegars. The up side is 1 bottle will last you a while.
Such a great cute place, I just wish it wouldn’t of took me so long to find out about them. Will definitely be buying all my oils & vinegars @ Olive & Marlow from now on.

Quality products from knowledgable people. I went in to buy bread from a local bakery that they provide on a Saturday. The owner wasn’t pushy with sales. In fact, I overheard her speaking to another customer who asked how she got into the oil business and that was how I decided the take the plunge and buy my first sampler pack. Not disappointed!

I love this place! It’s locally owned (not a chain) and has the best EVOO you can get! It makes the best homemade fresh salad dressings.

Great store! Lots of deliciously crafted vinegar and olive oils. You can taste everything before you buy. She also carries some craft jams, honeys, candles, and pastries from other local merchants. The owner, Heather, is kind, knowledgeable, and great to talk to. This is a must visit! Don’t let the prices scare you! These delectable oils and vinegars are worth every penny and you need very little for big flavor.

I love Olive and Marlowe.
I first went to Olive and Marlowe for a Valentine’s Day event that had live music and cocktails with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It opened my eyes to the interesting ways olive oil and vinegar could be used. I’ve since been back for an olive oil tasting class and an event that paired olive oil and vinegars with vanilla ice cream.
Everyone at Olive and Marlowe is super nice and knowledgeable about the products. They’re very helpful with recommendations for pairings and recipe ideas. The store has a great selection with many flavors. They also have baked goods, local jams and local flavored honey. It’s definitely worth checking out.

Are you looking to take every delicious teaspoonful (ahem, alright, HEAPING tablespoons) of Nutella to the next irresistible level? Or what about that favorite meal you love to make that needs a little «umph» this spring to keep it in its place?
I’ve found the secret, and it’s so delicious, I can’t possibly keep it to myself. I’ve visited Olive and Marlowe for the past 2 weeks in a row, and I have no intention of stopping. Was it the charming little girl who greeted me at the door exclaiming «Wow! You’re tall!» (I’m all of 5’5 on a good day)? Was it the smörgåsbord of taste-​testing options for the infused olive oils and vinegars they feature? Or was it the incredible comforting scent of freshly baked goodies from La Gourmandine on Saturday? Whatever keeps drawing me there, will likely be a treat for you, too.
I bought a lovely Basil Olive Oil that is my new favorite ingredient to top off the perfect Caprese Salad.
I bought a croissant that challenges just about any croissant I’ve had in all of my world travels. A few minutes in the oven turned this croissant into a fluffy, flaky and buttery perfection that only could be improved with a (ahem) «dollop» of Nutella. This alone, should make you run to check this place out.
Lastly, the owner has wonderful suggestions and ideas for your next culinary adventure. I appreciate her recommendations and value her input. Her suggestion of making a grilled cheese using one of the oils and the ciabatta bread that I bought was a delicious, quick dinner on a busy night for me this week. Community collaborative cooking? I like it!
Having moved here from out of state, I’ve often been told that the best food in Pittsburgh is made right in your own kitchen. After making a stop at Olive and Marlowe part of my new weekly routine, I fully understand why this saying is true.

I was walking from a meeting yesterday and fell into this cute Olive oil and vinegar shops.
After, talking with the owner and her adorable daughters I bought a bought of Olive oil and herbs.
I had a few friends over my house for Halloween and I had the olive oil and herbs which I’m addicted to right now.
I plan to go back and buy some olive oil and have it shipped to a friend in NYC.
Happy a place like this exist in my neighborhood.
