Perfectly Polished

I bought a Groupon to try out this nail place. It is by appointment only, so I called and left a message. Kathy called me back right away and I had no problem making my appointment.
When I got there, I was seen right away. I picked my color from the large assortment they had and had my old color removed.
The manicure was normal, except I had to request to have my cuticles done. They said some ladies do not like them cut, so they usually only do that upon request. The place is small and intimate. The ladies talk to you the whole time you are there which is fun. Perfection is definitely a priority. I asked for nail art and it was done a few times until I liked the way it looked. Appreciated that right before the holidays.
Would definitely recommend to others.
The only negative: When I walked in the first time, the ladies were complaining about doing pedicures. «Im exhausted, I had to do three pedicures today. » It was a bit much considering that’s part of their job?!? I think that’s just the humor of the place, but as a new customer I was a bit taken back.

I purchased a groupon deal for 3 gel manicures for this salon.
Scheduling an appointment was easy enough, and the person who I scheduled with seemed really friendly on the phone.
I was extremely disappointed by my first appointment. The nail tech named Marley (there are only 2 people who work there) was absolutely horrible. I was completely taken aback by the way she spoke to me, and her absolute lack of professionalism.
First, she does not use cuticle softener before she pushed back your cuticles. I regularly get manicures, so this is a process that I am completely used to, albeit I am used to the softeners. Marley pushed the cuticles back so quickly and forcefully, and when I whipped my hand away one a particularly painful fingernail, she actually yelled at me and told me not to be a baby. I couldn’t believe this girl had the audacity to speak so rudely to a customer.
At first I thought that it was her way of trying to joke around, so I brushed off her comment. Then about five minutes later, as she was painting the first coat of my polish, my cell phone went off. Using the palm of my free hand, careful not to hit my nails, I hit the button to shut off the sound. Marley looked at me and snidely stated «if you mess up your nails I’m gonna kill you».
Again, how rude!
I left my first appointment unsure if I wanted to eat the cost of the other 2 manicures and not return, but I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and set up a second appointment.
The gel nail polish chipped during the first day I had it, but I am pretty aggressive athletically, so I didn’t think that was such a big deal.
During my second appointment, Marley was equally as disrespectful, though, and again stated «I’m gonna kill you if you mess up your foils». Seriously?!?
After several other inappropriate commentary and antics during my second appointment, including eating and belching Pepsi, talking to her boyfriend on the phone, and talking rudely about people to the other nail tech (who was hung over) my mind was made up… I would rather lose money and not return for my last manicure so that I never have to see the disgusting mess of this nail tech.
On a positive note, she was really sweet and friendly… at the end of the manicure when it came time for a tip.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS NAIL SALON!

Amazing work, awesome service!
I was visiting the area on a recent trip when I needed an emergency nail repair. I found this shop in the yellow pages and was drawn to it’s name… Perfectly Polished.
Even though appointments are recommended, Kathy was awesome and worked me in. I was able to observe her work on her previous client and what was going to be a quick repair for me turned into «I want nails like hers»!
Kathy is amazing… Not only is she talented nail tech (found out she’s the owner) she’s quick witted! She really completes the experience. In the end I left with «Perfectly Polished» nails and a smile.
Next time I’m in town I definitely need to drop in again. For those of you who live there… You need to try this business!
Oh yeah… They also have tanning beds there.
