I signed up for Unilocal specifically to warn others about this practice. I needed a pcp and chose preferred primary care in Brookline because it was close. This was a horrible decision. First, wait times are obscene. I timed my wait at over an hour and a half on two different occasions despite having an appointment. Each time I watched as frustrated patients left before being seen due to the wait. Second, the office is too lax with personal health information for my liking. When I called for information from my medical record the person who answered stated my birth date and said«that’s correct right?» Anyone could easily have said yes to this question and accessed my protected health information. Typical practice is to ask the caller to state their birthdate as a precaution to confirm identity not to give the caller the birthdate and ask them to confirm. Third, I asked for routine bloodwork and the phlebotomist did not wear gloves(don’t let anyone tell you this is routine to «find a vein» I work with a phlebotomist who stated that this is definitely not within protocol. Gloves offer some protection for both the patient and the phlebotomist from blood borne illness) Fourth, in regard to the previously mentioned bloodwork when I called for results I was lied to by staff. They initially stated«all of your bloodwork came back good» and then three weeks later called to state the test had never actually been performed due to an error. This is a public health concern. Fifth, when looking over my medical record I noticed the doctor recorded my answers to my health questionnaire incorrectly. While I may be ranting please take my advice and avoid this place. I will not be returning and will use an urgent care facility in the mean time. I am still considering whether or not to file a formal complaint. I could have handled any of the above incidents if they were isolated but, I have an issue with this office every time I interact with them.

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Pittsburgh, PA
Dr. Mally, a gentle, jovial soul that he is, essentially gave me as sterling a report card of health as can be expected considering my allergies, acid reflux, and whatnot. He made me feel comfortable, listened to my concerns, and was very thorough in my inaugural examination the other day. PPCP’s office is clean, their staff is friendly, their location is convenient, and the atmosphere is reassuring. I would recommend PPCP almost as much as I recommended Pittsburgh Medical Associates when I was a patient there. I will miss Dr. Stephen Brown(he, along with two other doctors, recently resigned from PMA and moved, causing me to make a switch) and wish him luck but feel I have found a reputable and acceptable replacement in Dr. Ashith Mally for the time being.
