I do not agree with the other review. I have been going to Studio G for over 15 years. I find the staff very professional and friendly. Kate who was trashed in the review always takes her time, never rushing while providing me with amazing haircuts. So much so I am asked repeatedly who cuts your hair. I am always giving others her name.

I have been going to Studio G for the past two years. I started by seeing Melissa Lippi for hair services. I have experienced nothing but complete professionalism from Melissa, and her skills are amazing. I am always pleased with my cut and color. Melissa now cuts my entire family’s hair, and we could not imagine going to any one else. I have expanded my services by seeing Amie for my pedicures and manicures. I now see Amie weekly and I believe that her pedicures and manicures are the best I have ever received. She always makes the time to take care of my teenage daughters nails, too! Micah has provided several esthetician services to both my daughter and me. She also is very professional and engaged in making sure that we are happy with our services. If you are looking for a a place to meet all of your beauty needs, Studio G is the place to be.

I don’t even know where to start with this one! I have been coming to this salon for several years now. Unfortunately, after today, I won’t be returning. Several weeks ago I had an appointment for a cut with Jenn(whom I regularly see). I had planned a professional head shot sitting around the timing of that appointment. The day before my sitting, the salon owner called me to say that Jenn and her baby were ill and she had to cancel my appointment. I rescheduled the appointment for today. When I arrived at 1:00 pm for my appointment I was greeted by another stylist, Kate, who had cut my hair once in the past during Jenn’s maternity leave. She asked, «Would you mind if I cut your hair today? Jenn has to leave because she doesn’t have a babysitter.» I told her this was ridiculous as no one had called to me tell me in advance, I had driven 30 minutes to get there, and that Jenn had already cancelled our last appointment. I asked why Jenn or the salon owner weren’t approaching me? Why did they send you out? Of course, she had no reply. I tried to be understanding with her as it appeared that she had been put in the rather uncomfortable position of explaining why this was happening. I proceeded to let her cut my hair as it needed to be cut and I was already there. Needless to say, I was not thrilled with the situation. Kate said, «I don’t know why Jenn didn’t tell you herself.» She seemed evasive about the whole situation. The owner walked by us several times, made eye contact with Kate and said nothing to me. I told Kate that I wished to speak with the owner prior to leaving the salon. During my cut, I asked Kate if someone would have time for a pedicure immediately following my cut. She checked and scheduled an appointment for me. When she finished, she checked me out, charged me for the cut and pedicure and walked me back to meet the manicurist. It was at that time I saw Jenn at her station. I turned to Kate and said, «Wait, I thought she had gone.» She replied, «Oh, uh, she just finished her last appointment.» I said, «Hmmm, well, that was my appointment. What is going on?» I asked to see the owner. The owner came out and motioned for me to go into a massage room with her where she closed the door. I explained my dissatisfaction with the way the whole incident was handled and that she, as the owner, should have approached me to explain and make it right instead of sending another employee out to me. She was very dramatic, grabbing her head and gesticulating wildly as she explained, «I am not done with Jenn and all of this», «Jenn told me to ‘just move her(meaning me) to Kate as she has seen Kate before’ «, «It’s not my fault, etc.» The owner then told me that«Jenn moved you to Kate so she could cut another client who had followed Jenn from Sergios(which I learned was Jenn’s prior employer.). The owner said, «I thought Jenn had arranged the whole thing with you.» By this time, I had no idea who, if anyone, was telling me the truth. I had not yet had the pedicure and asked for my money back as I wanted to leave. They tried to talk me into staying but I had had enough of just about everyone there. The owner refunded my money and I turned to walk out when I saw Jenn and Kate sitting side by side chatting casually. The only thing I can conclude is that Jenn and Kate concocted the whole thing in advance so Jenn could cut someone else’s hair. Well, I hope it was worth it as I will never return to this place. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. Consider yourself warned! To add insult to injury, I didn’t even get a decent haircut.
