Solid bubble tea, but I didn’t see any outlets so I couldn’t stay long, and their desserts were absent. They do have sushi, which I didn’t try. The environment is ok but not quite as inviting as a few other options. Not a bad place, just not my favorite.

Very nice and small place with relaxing music and good sushi and boba. Great place to meet with friends or to study.

My friend and I love sushi and boba, so we were super excited to see this place open up near our work! We’ve dined in and carried out many times and haven’t been disappointed. We had the sushi boat for 2 the first time and were very pleased with the freshness and taste; there was no fishy smell at all. On top of that, we were absolutely stuffed! The portions here are pretty generous. When we ordered out for sushi and sashimi(our late-night dinners while working the overnight shift), we were really happy about the quality as well. The best part is that I was able to pick the items out via Unilocal and order ahead of time, so there was no wait. They have a delivery option as well! Today, I came by for my sushi/sashimi fix and got the 22 piece platter, which comes with 10 pieces of sushi, 12 pieces of sashimi in generous portion sizes, miso soup and a salad. Oh my delicious!!! Did I mention it was only $ 20??? The bobas are also good and I like that they aren’t overly sweet. Taro is my fav. A tiny pricey on the boba at $ 4.95. Environment is casual and they always have great instrumental music playing. The two workers are slightly awkward and service isn’t a strong point, but it might be an Asian thing(I’m Asian and have accepted that service isn’t the best at most Asian restaurants). Don’t get me wrong; they’re friendly, but won’t engage in small talk with you. I’ve come enough times now that they recognize me and talk to me more, even make jokes. Don’t let their service stand in the way of the awesome sushi that you will get! —- The couple next to me just ordered rice with grilled eel and rice with roast duck. Looks amazing. They also seem pretty happy… I may have to venture out of my sushi zone and try their rice dishes on my next trip here!

I went there for a week-day lunch. My friend and I ordered a sushi + sashimi platter and left the place quite impressed and wanting to come back. Food Quality — They use a very good quality sashimi for their sushi! We were surprised. For only $ 21, we got 8 pieces of sushi and 12 pieces of thick sashimi that tasted flavorful, deep, and not frozen. It came with a salad and a large bowl of miso soup(the largest quantity of miso soup I’ve seen in Pittsburgh). For a small café like this, you wouldn’t expect good quality raw fish, but this place had it together. Atmosphere — When you walk in, it feels very much like a quick grab-and-go café. Service — There wasn’t a waitress. You have to order at the counter, pick it up, and return the tray, which is fine. However, they were a little sloppy — they only gave one spoon and didn’t give us water. I had to ask for it. The cashier lady just went inside the kitchen after food came out, so I wouldn’t say their service was attentive. When we walked in at first, the sushi man and the cashier lady just stared at us, telling us where to sit or anything like that. Additional feedback — they need to brush up a little on their service skills. Except for that part, food was great for the price we paid. Rolls are very cheap.

This place is just down the street from my office and I’ve been there a few times. Their sushi is pretty decent with generous portions and good lunch specials, though the quality of the fish could be better. I had the jasmine bubble tea which was also very good though a little pricey. The flavors of bubble tea they offer are rather limited. As others here have commented, I liked that it wasn’t overly sweet. I’ve also ordered hot and iced coffee here a few times and it is very good coffee(and I take my coffee black). The seating area is very spacious and clean with lots of natural light from the front side being all glass. The owners are very friendly but have trouble with English sometimes so you have to point on the menu to what you want.

The two rolls lunch special is a pretty good deal. You choose two maki rolls(for a total of 12 pieces) and a soup or salad. Their miso soup tastes a little different than normal. I can’t quite pinpoint what makes it different; maybe it’s the lack of a seaweed flavor even though there is seaweed inside. I dunno, but it’s still decent. The sushi is good and they make their pieces a pretty decent size, so 12 pieces is actually more than enough here. For bubble tea, I’ve tried the earl grey and lavender flavors. I was drawn to these because they are unique. Both actually tasted kind of similar to each other. I enjoyed both, but thought the lavender was better. Had a piece of carrot cake and some bubble tea. Not so great. Very average. Cake was really dry, bubble tea didn’t have much taste. I don’t know what else to say, I don’t recommend it.

When I went they ran out of tapioca bubbles! Luckily they had lychee jelly(which I liked more…) I got the jasmine milk tea and it was creamy and delicious! I would come here more but it’s a little pricier for bubble tea and they don’t have as many flavors as some other competitors. Either way, decent bubble tea, decent service, meh atmosphere.

I tried T.4.U. today for the first time, and I was really satisfied overall. First I ordered the Azuki bean with green tea ice cream. As a pairing, I ordered the fresh fruit tea. I would highly recommend the fruit tea, especially on a hot day. It was very refreshing and had just the right amount of fruit, as opposed to being to strong or lacking in flavor. The ice creams were equally as delicious. I also decided on the honey toast, which is not on the menu. This item is not always available, but it was my favorite part of the experience. Towered quite high is a hollowed out loaf of honey toast with ice cream and strawberries on the inside. It’s huge! It’s great for sharing, and even we couldn’t finish it. Furthermore, the price is fairly inexpensive. My total for all 3 items was just under $ 20. Thank you to the staff at T.4.U. for being so friendly and going the extra mile to make my experience a great one. 5 stars.

Mehhhhh, maybe good for self serve yogurt however, I ordered one of the waffles. The gentleman at the front seemed like a nice guy but was stressed and confused. I order the strawberry and custard waffle with vanilla icecream — it came out with no custard and strawberry icecream. He was the owner I thought, but had trouble understanding their own menu. Menu is in English, Chinese, and Japanese. The place itself is clean and would be a great place to either read or meet with friends.

I love this place. I came here couple weeks ago and got a waffle with fruits and ice cream. I also ordered a bubble milk tea, everything was on point. The service was really great as well. I am definitely coming back and would recommend to anybody looking to try new tea shops.

This place serves such a refreshing change of pace from overly sugary bubble teas in Pittsburgh. I think it rivals my previous favorite, from I Tea Café in Shadyside. — The bubble teas are not cheap($ 4.55 after tax), but they’re decently large at least. — There are only a handful of flavors to choose from for bubble tea. + FINALLY, bubble tea that doesn’t make me feel like I’m chugging sugar. I had the coconut flavor, which was nice and subtly sweet. My boyfriend got the regular bubble milk tea, which bordered on the side of bland to me(but he liked it). Still, it’s nice to feel a little healthier while sipping your drink(or at least… less unhealthy). + Our boba was also a perfect consistency! Just the right level of chewiness, and there’s a good amount in the drink. Mostly, I’m happy that there’s a decent bubble tea place in Oakland closer to where I live. I also like that I don’t have to feel crazy guilty about ingesting so much sugar. Both are big pluses for me!

I passed this place on my way to CVS yesterday and was interested in trying it out since there aren’t many other places in Oakland that sell bubble tea. I decided to stop in today and try something, and ordered a regular black milk tea, which cost 4.25 $(4.55 $ with tax). This is a little pricey to me because I can get regular milk teas in Chinatown in Philly for ~$ 2, but I figured I’d just try it. The size of the cup was actually taller than what I’m used to getting as a regular/one size order. The drink itself was kind of bland, I saw smears of brown on the sides of the cup so perhaps it was made from some kind of syrup flavoring rather than real black tea(I wasn’t watching her make it because I was looking at the cakes). Although it was a little bland and tasted like fragrant/sweet milk, I still found it kind of refreshing. Unfortunately they don’t have brick toast(I remember seeing a decal on their window that read«Brick Toast» and thought they’d have it) so that was disappointing. They do still have waffles but judging from the photo they included on the menu, they’re not anything too special(and also quite overpriced; mostly $ 6.25). I might give some of the other drinks a try here since the other reviewers had a good experience with other flavors. The espresso drinks sound/look good too.

This is sort of a hybrid between a traditional Taiwanese dessert café and a froyo place. The froyo is very tasty – there are fewer flavors to choose from, but it’s quite cheap and all the standard toppings are there. Some more Asian flavors like green tea and taro are available as well, which is awesome because you’d be hard pressed to find those elsewhere. In addition, they also have cakes, ice cream, and waffles, many of which come with fruit toppings or green tea and red bean. And of course they’ll have some bubble teas, along with espressos for something stronger.
