We went to green mango on a Saturday night. I believe they are one of the better Thai restaurants in the area. My husband and I always get duck and shrimp summer and spring rolls there. They always taste super fresh, delicious, and come with great dipping sauces. I personally am obsessed with the sauce that comes with the duck rolls, and request that even when I order something else. My husband got the Thai shrimp spaghetti which was very good. It was like the Thai version of an American spaghetti with marinara sauce, but with more robust flavors. I got some type of shrimp with vegetables that was also very fresh and we were serve both of our orders and hardly no time at all. They also offer the bubble teas which we tried once but I wasn’t really a fan of them. The service is always good and the employees are pleasant. I will say that we do order takeout more than dine in and when we arrive to pick up our food we are never left waiting. I am glad there’s a place in Monroeville that offers some variety to the normal choices.

This is your everyday average Thai restaurant that’s around the corner. The food is good with an extensive menu and take out is fast and prompt. The in house dining is also good with friendly servers and fast service. I had the spring rolls which were crispy but tasted like the came from a frozen box. I also had curry and ginger tofu; the vegetable curry was spicy and the Ginger tofu was good thought I wish they hadn’t over fried the tofu. Restaurant was clean and a byob

The first time I ate the King Chicken — my daughter took hold of that dish & loves it. It is quite delicious. Today I ordered the chicken spring rolls and Ginger chicken. My goodness they were both new favs. The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is good & the food Does NOT disappoint. The dishes are seasoned to make you have a flavorful experience. Yummy!!!

My husband and I had dinner here on Nov. 18. This place used to be excellent but the last 2 to 3 visits has proved to be very bad. We got basil fried rice and the rice was severly undercooked. There were hard grains of rice in the dish. The service has been steadily going downhill for some time. Waitress can’t be pleasant when addressing you. No smiling with horrible attitudes. If I went to work with these attitudes, I would not have my job very long. A restaurant should be happy to serve you, not treat you as though the customer should feel privileged to be there. Nice atmosphere, polite servers. Food was very good. I had the Spicy Shrimp Basil. Veggies were fresh. I didn’t know you had numbers for how spicy you want the food. So I ended up with a number 7. Cleared my sinuses, lol. Great place. I will be returning asap.

Worst Thai food I’ve ever had. Spring rolls were good. Pad Prick chicken was inedible. Absolutely the worst thing I’ve had in a LONG time. It tasted like they poured salt all over it. Rather than being spicy, it was pure salt. My friend had pad Thai with shrimp and it was the opposite– bland and didn’t taste at all like pad Thai. Would not return ever.

We have dined at the GM twice in the past three years and wasn’t impressed either time. As others have said the wait staff were not necessarily unfriendly, but rather disinterested and appeared to have other things on their mind despite our being the only diners in the restaurant. We ordered three dishes, one satisfactory, one very bland and one that had an odd flavor, … what I imagine floor cleaner to taste like. At the end of the meal the third dish was cleared relatively untouched with no inquiry from the server, which I thought was odd. Our intentions were to share everything so 2 of 3 wasn’t a big deal. In all it wasn’t a negative experience, but not memorable either. Meh, sums it up nicely.

I used to eat here all the time, stopped in, all my food was bland. They took it back, tried to fix it but only made it worse. They insisted numerous times I take something home and despite saying no they kept insisting on a dish, and then CHARGED me for it. I don’t recommend going, and I won’t be back.

My husband and I decided to try this place while he was in Monroeville for work. The people were nice and friendly, but the food we got was not good at all. I got the Pad Se Eu he got the Drunken Noodles. They looked exactly the same and both were pretty gross. The flavor of mine actually wasn’t too bad, but the noodles were like a gooey mess. It turns my stomach just thinking about the texture of the noodles. They were just waaay over cooked. We actually paid for our food then went and got something to eat somewhere else. I wanted it to be good so bad.

My mom and I ate here for dinner today. We don’t usually eat Thai food, but we really enjoyed our dinner! The service was attentive and efficient, and our food was delicious. I ordered the spicy basil tofu and my mom ordered the rad na noodles. We also ordered the spring rolls. The flavor for all of it was great, but I especially loved my entrée. The basil tofu was definitely spicy, and I love heat! The portions were large and the prices were reasonable. Would recommend!

This Thai is very american and average, nothing here screams authentic. The«spicy» was very low in heat level and had no taste, it just was bland. They refused to use spices and herbs that may have brought their food to a 4 star level, and just told me to add the siracha that was on the table. I myself had the Magic Tofu, which was thin thin strips of tofu mixed with green peppers, some other veggies and served over rice. My friends had everything ranging from curries to pad thai and their opinions were all very similar, there was no actual taste to the food, it was just bland. Overall I will not go back, but it is the only Thai in the area.

It was average … I’m a huge fan of Thai peanut sauce and there were only two options on the menu for that. I got Chicken Satay and Brown rice. My partner got pineapple fried rice with chicken and she enjoyed every bite of it. If I’m in the area I would stop back and try it again. The service was OK not rushed and pretty quick. The bathrooms weren’t very clean either.

Nothing about this place disappoints! The food is excellent, fresh and I wish I could eat here more often. It is pretty far from where we live but we happened to be in the area and I’m really glad we were able to have dinner here. The service is quick and friendly.

The food is good. Presentation is good and taste is good. Waiters are nice and responsive. Prices are above average for a noodle place and portions were of average size. My hubby and I definitely didn’t leave hungry but we also finished every single sliver of food off our plate! I like how Pittsburgh has a huge variety of Thai restaurants.

I’m a fan of Thai food so my family and I decided to try this place. It’s close to home and we reviewed the menu before our visit. We ordered Spring rolls, Pad Thai and the Pataya Chicken Noodle soup. The spring rolls came out fast and hot. Both the rolls and dipping sauce was bland. The only taste was of fried rice paper. We ate them anyway… The pad Thai was average at best. One of my family members summed it up best: the food is decent, it’s close to home, but if I had to choose I wouldn’t pick this place.

I’m not sure how exactly to gives stars. My entire family ate here on New Year’s Eve(12⁄31) around 5:00. We enjoyed fried tofu, spring rolls, and summer rolls for appetizers. Dinners ran the gambit from drunken noodles to tofu rad prik. Everything was good– not Pusadee’s Garden, but good. Exactly 36 hours later, my entire family(including my 11 month old son) came down with some rotavirus. It was a worship your bucket between your knees kind of day. For 3 days after, no one could eat anything. We are only just recovered. Now, I understand that we could have picked that virus up anywhere. But, our only commonality was The Green Mango. 5 adults and one 11 month old were very sick. I’ll go back. I just won’t be back for a while…

Still think I’ve had much better thai cuisine elsewhere, nearly everwhere. Summer rolls(ones non-fried in rice paper) were as bland as bland could be and I’m not talking spices, just flavor. How is that possible??? Even I make these. Then I had pad thai with chicken. Chicken was overcooked. Meh. Would have been better without.

Solid Thai food for Pittsburgh. We ordered tom yom soup, fried fish cakes, pad thai, and queen tilapia. Our waitress made the soup sound small(she indicated a cup size with her hands) so we ordered one each, but they turned out to be bowls, so it was too much. I had never had the tilapia before and it was overly saucy, but tasty. Not as spicy as I’d expected for Thai food which is good for someone who can’t really handle spicy, but potentially disappointing for someone who can.

Another lunch favorite of the Penn Center crowd. The flavors of the Mango cannot be beat. The Mango Chicken Salad is just fantastic. The Thai iced tea is a real treat, too. I have had several of the duck dishes and was not disappointed on any occasion. The red and green curry are quite good, as well. The service is the wild card, but sometimes they are just that busy.. .
