The Square Wash

Great. Clean and quiet. Doesn’t smell of smokers. Working change machines, clean space to fold clothes or hang them on your own hangers so they don’t get wrinkled on the way home. 10 regular top load washers, 2 double load washers, 2 giant washers, and 1 SUPER washer. I saw some use the super to wash 2 – 3 very fluffy blankets that suck up a lot of water so would be too big for a home washer. 16 dryers. I dried my down coat on low and the temperature was actually a low warm. Most commercial dryers melt your clothes no matter what temperature you set it at. Folding tables are too high to use for a computer but you can cross the street to the 61B café and have a cappuccino & a cookie and work there, or put your loads in and have breakfast at the Square Café with a friend in the meanwhile (just jump up ½ through your meal and moves clothes to the dryer while you friend guards your food.) Many many other places to eat, or walk in the Regent Square district. I parked out front but the regulars knew there was a parking pad in the back. They’d drop off their clothes then head somewhere. No bathroom. Temperature is a comfortable 69 degrees, with a sweater on.

Lots of washers and dryers, clean and nice. $ 1.75 to wash and $.25 per 5 minutes of drying.

Finally a laundry mat close to my house. I wish I had noticed it before it’s very small. But clean looks recently remodeled, and does the job for pretty cheap. New dryers and a few front loaders. Only one large capacity washer though. Oh well I’ll take it!
Parking is on the street plenty of places to walk
to while your laundry finishes. It’s nice I don’t think I’ll get mr bras stolen if I ever accidentally leave them here. Which just happened to me at the Edgewood laundrymat.

It’s clean and quiet, and the machines are reasonably priced. Haven’t had any problems there yet!

First time in. Nice and clean. All the machines seemed to be working. $ 1.75 per wash $ 0.25 per 5 mins in the dryer. I was able to do 3 loads simultaneously, for about $ 8 and was in and out in about an hour. No dry cleaning available as far as I could tell. Still looking for a good place in town for that…
