Tree Pittsburgh

What an amazing nonprofit. I had the pleasure to help out during a volunteering event.
Tree Pittsburgh basically takes care of the trees throughout the city, or what they refer to it as the urban forest. So when you are walking through the city and see a tree along the road, that fresh mulch around the tree was basically put there by the good people that either work or volunteer their time to help beautify the city.
Along with beautifying the city, Tree Pittsburgh also offers classes to educate people on how to properly take care of trees around the city. This way they know that you are properly taking care of the foliage. Also to help prevent any type of damage to the trees. It takes a lot of work to help keep this city looking clean and the trees are kind of a centerpiece for your eye. I can almost guarantee that a majority of you probably never notice those trees along the road/​sidewalk. Just like it takes time for those trees to mature, it takes time for Pittsburghers to notice that they are they to help make this city a better place to live.
