Was driving around Pittsburgh and decided I wanted some wings — Everyone loves wings in Pittsburgh, it’s like the city bird — er food. This place came up on the map and I’ve seen it hundreds of times when I was growing up, my Dad said great things about the owner Tony, his food, everything, and my Dad knows a lot of people so I stopped in for an early lunch. Tony is a very dynamic guy, an excellent conversationalist and knowledgeable guy! I was glad to talk to him about the old times in Pittsburgh when my Dad owned Hank’s ConKan and times were good. I bartended for him since I was 15 years old — now I’m 50. T’s has been here for all of that time and has only gotten better — ***Large Full Wings — too many flavors to count, I got the Garlic Parmesan Butter wings and there were INCREDIBLE. I honestly don’t remember wings tasting that good. Those large wings had tons of delicious juicy chicken on them — a real treat. ***He also makes big juicy homemade burgers and sandwiches and has an upstairs. Great atmosphere with a private lot on the side — A perfect place to watch the game.

We recently moved to the Swissvale area and were looking for new bars to check out. We stumbled into T’s and were glad we did. It was a pretty standard dive bar. Football was on the TV and neighborhood folks were hanging out. Bartender made us feel very welcome and was extremely attentive. We ordered food and weren’t disappointed. I went with the grilled cheese and was quite satisfied with the hearty sandwich I was served. The fries were great too. My husband got a burger which he was pleased with. The beer was cold and we were never with an empty glass. We definitely plan to be back to this little joint. There is a sitting area off to the side which is Hawaiian themed. I got kind of a kick out of that. The rest of the sitting area is kind of like a diner set up. It’s quirky and fun. I definitely would encourage everyone to check it out!
