The facility is a great place, we’ve had multiple issues with racist workers. We decided to come during a weekday to take my daughter over the summer, a worker kept ignoring me as I waited in line, right in front of her. Eventually my husband went up and was waited on instantly. We accidentally left our lunch box and I called asking if I could pickup the lunchbox the following weekend, they said that would be fine. I came into the lobby and stated I left a lunch box and described the lunchbox, the lady said«oh I didn’t think this was your type» and was extremely snooty. Today was the last straw for us never visiting again! Our family had been planning a couple weeks to visit and go swimming, we get there to checkin as guests and we are completely ignored for more then 10 minutes. One lady was helping someone the other two sat there doing absolutely nothing, ignoring our«excuse me». We were clearly viewable, it is an open space, right in front of the check-in. Another lady walked up to the desk next to us and was immediately helped. It is great to know that in 2016 people can be so rude and hateful.

We’re not members of the USC Community Rec Center but have had the opportunity to go on several occasions with family(who are members) to the indoor and outdoor pool. It’s a great place for the family, especially those with smaller kids. A morning or afternoon at the pool will get those tikes tired out! The pool has always been clean and staff friendly. In the warmer months the outdoor pool does get crowded but there’s so much space that you never feel overwhelmed. In the colder months, the indoor pool is fairly free during the morning hours when we’ve taken our son who’s less than a year old. Even if we didn’t have family who were members, we’d still frequent this place!

I went to Upper Saint Clair’s recreation center as a guest today and was really impressed by how big the center is. There is a huge basketball court with about 4 separate courts within the basketball area. Above the court is the indoor track, which is very big. The cardio equipment is located by the indoor track above the basketball courts. The pool area is mainly comprised of 3 feet water with a lazy river that has a current, a whirl pool, a slide and a 3 feet swimming area. There is a bigger slide for taller kids which empties out into about a 4 foot deep area of the pool. There is a medium sized jacuzzi located in between the smaller children’s slide and the regular deep swimming area(deep pool is separated by swimming lanes). There were a lot of areas to change in and none of the areas were crowded or busy and we went at 4:30 pm! There is a very large dining area, in which some people were working on their lap tops, relaxing, watching tv or eating. The space is very large and there is a lot of room so it didn’t feel crowded. This is definitely a a big recreation center, full of various amenities and areas that are worth checking out!

This pool is only useful if you are going with small children. The majority of the pool is zero depth to 1 or 2 foot deep with babies and toddlers in mind. There is a small section of the pool that approaches 4 feet in depth. Adults without small children and teenagers will likely be bored. $ 12 per person entry fee is overkill but then again this is USC so I think they price it to keep the have-nots out. The pool in Mt Lebanon is much bigger, better and actually cheaper too.

An amazing pool for children and adults! I think it’s worth the price of admission($ 12). It’s always clean and offers great shaded options outside, and an awesome indoor pool. My only issue is the snack bar’s slim selections and cash only policy. :)
