Why is this music, I mean muzak, called«soft rock»? Isn’t that an oxymoron? I never understood that term. I used to have a crush on Cris Winter when she was on WDVE during my teenaged caveman years. She’d be on during the weekends, and I’d listen to her voice, imagining her to be a hot 80’s rawker chick with big, blonde Lita Ford hair. Then I saw her once on WQED’s «Great American Auction» or whatever it was called, and she was in fact a babe with big, platinum blonde Lita Ford hair, not to mention a frilly brown suede jacket. Now she’s on WISHHHHH playing music to snooze to. How did that happen? I guess she needed a job. I also keep wondering if she’s related to The X’s Abby Krizner since they sound identical. Mysteries… And who in radio is more syrupy than Delilah? Sometimes the guys have her on in the evening at work for some reason. Her show is at its best when some kid calls in to dedicate a song to his or her mom because you know the kid must have gotten into some kind of trouble and is trying to smooth things over. ZZZZZZZZ Huh, wha? Oh I’m sorry, I’m listening to WISHHHHH… ZZZZZZZ.
