Bad. Seriously bad. This place is the reason I go to Albany to play games. You pretty much go here to buy M: tG and roleplaying stuff if you don’t have a car because it’s the only place in town that has a decent selection. Then you won’t use the RP stuff anyway because the scene is dead in this town. Incredibly messy, owner likes to share his terrible opinions.

I gave the one star which is very generous, and only because we have to in order to do this review. We were visiting the area and I decided to find some gaming stores nearby. My boyfriend is a huge gamer and I thought I would surprise him by saying there’s a store nearby and it had five stars. So we traveled a distance to come to the store. We walked through the door only to be greeted by a box of garbage sprawled within the doorway. Nobody greeted us at all. Someone was helping another customer which is understandable but you should greet a customer when they come through the door. We spent about half an hour looking around the store and still no one acknowledged us. My boyfriend was pretty disappointed considering he is a huge gamer and had his own gaming store in the past. All I can say was this is very bad business practice not to acknowledge a customer. We went in with money to spend. I guess we will drive even further to Gamera Grotto or Zombie Planet.

Best selection of games and comics in the area, no contest. A little messy, too be sure, but James, the owner, is knowledgable on most topics or can point you in the right direction, at least. A great spot for your own gaming or gifting needs. Oh, they also offer discounts on pre-release sales. Took advantage on this and saved some very good money.

This is LITERALLY the ONLY shop in MILES! AND stores like this are failing all across the board. Which is SAD! This store STAYS stocked on every item that they claim to stock and the owner is HONEST(maybe to a fault). If you need your comic books like I do, it doesn’t even matter how great the store is anyway, because let’s all face that Barnes&Nobles doesn’t use bags and boards and their employees don’t care about the condition of our prized collections, nor will their selection ever compete. And as a hobby shop, the variety of games and knowledge of the friendly customers as well as the mightiest of shop-keeps will keep you entertained and informed. Seriously check out the strategy games. If you are lucky you may see me there as well, truely the best reason to frequent the location ;)

It’s the only comic book store in Pittsfield. There is a large selection of comic and gaming books. They often have RPG or Warhammer games in the store. as well as Magic Tournaments.
