For what it is, this place is just dandy. Think 1950’s roadside motel. «Rustic» interior means wood paneling. Firm beds without dipping. Depressing rv style shower and toilets that squeal while refilling are a major downside. But overall clean and quaint in a certain sort of way. If your expectations are realistic, you won’t be disappointed.

Traveling with cats Boston to LA: DAY1 $ 60 gets you a very comfortable bed with Real Cotton Sheets, a drive up parking lot, fridge, microwave and cute«it’s not retro they built it like this in the 50s» authentic knotty pine motel cuteness. Yes, it’s a bit worn. Yes, there a cigarette burn in the bed spread. No, I don’t like the crypt like dimensions of the shower stall and WORSTOFALL there is no coffee maker. However. You are indeed in the«heart of the Berkshires» and this place for all it’s dated vibe had a lot of heart. It is quieter and cheaper than all the faceless chain hotels on 20 that have no accommodations for real travelers. Also, maybe local folks in transition live here for a spell but it doesn’t have the seedy meth vibe other places with beige halls and sticky carpet give off. I like it. I hope you do too.
