I have a clock that’s been in my family for as long as I can remember. I’ve had it serviced by a clock shop nearby that has since gone out of business. My clock was running fast and I decided to take it to Pittsfield to west side clock shop. I called first and was given some vital information about traveling with my clock. Once I got to Pittsfield I was greeted very warmly by the owners who not only gave me a bit of history about when the clock was made but also taught me how to hang the arm that had not been properly attached thus making my clock run fast. Let me tell you this is a dying profession and these people are great to deal with. I won’t hesitate for a moment to return in the future if I ever have any issues with my clock.

Truly specialized — repair and sales of clocks of all kinds, from inexpensive kitchen clocks to $ 5000 antique grandfather clocks. Always wonderful service, a pleasure. I almost want my clocks to stop so I have a chance to go there. I had trouble finding the hours. Generally 10-whatever Monday-Saturday, closed Wednesday afternoons after 12:30. Call to verify.

Five stars isn’t nearly enough. Like the other commenter, Robert D., I am from the Boston area, but recently re-located to the Berkshires. I thought I would have to travel back to Boston for work needed on a clock that is precious to my parents, which we wanted to have working and chiming for their 60th anniversary yesterday. They had tried themselves to have it fixed over 10 years ago and were told that the rotors were no longer manufactured. So there it sat on their china cabinet, beloved, even if not working. Because we wanted a BIG surprise for their day we revisited the matter and, on a whim, I called West Side. Nancy responded immediately, gave me clear direction as to how they might help, the time involved, what risks there were, etc. It was obvious she knew what she was doing — alas, they’ve been in business for decades. Aldo was on board for our big surprise, worked his magic, locating a rotor that was«new» old stock(meaning never used), and had the clock in perfect working order for the big day. To say my parents were overwhelmed with joy to hear that clock again is an understatement. We are very lucky to have such good people/business owners in the Berkshires. If you don’t live here, it’s well worth the trip.

This place has been here for decades, and the reason why is clear. Amazing selection and wonderful service! I have several antique clocks, including one that is screwed into the wall, and they come out for house calls. I’ve bought a couple of clocks from them too. If you’re looking for a unique timepiece or need repair, wherever you are, this is the place to go!

I drive nearly two and a half hours each way to reach West Side Clocks. They do fantastic work and they are very honest about what is worth fixing and what is not worth it. They know a ton about old clocks and they have been in business for many years. Moreover, their prices are very reasonable.
