We went here for an early birthday dinner this week and had a really great experience. I made a reservation online, but we didn’t need one, as it was pretty quiet for a Wednesday night. Service was good and the food was delicious. We ordered the chicken and waffle, grilled wings, angry caesar, and truffle fries and it was more than enough to share. I haven’t stopped thinking about this meal and we will definitely be back. The only caveat is it’s a tad on the expensive side.

I agree with another reviewer. If you have 2 large parties(10 each according to the server) you need to plan accordingly to have your kitchen adequately staffed. After 60+ minutes they finally got around to bringing out the order for our party of 3. The food was okay, but certainly did not live up to the description on the menu and was mostly lukewarm. Probably will not return as they did not meet the expectations for this price point.

I don’t quite know what to say… It’s from what I can ascertain it’s a part of a group of restaurants from California? It’s a well appointed place, it’s attractive but the lighting leaves things a little dim oh well. They have a large dining room area as well as a bar. It’s in Pittsford in Scohen Place its a hot area by the canal. I don’t doubt the outside is hopping when the weather is better. The menu is all about being organic, cage free and local and if you have issues gluten free. Certain things I find annoying the«bread basket or plate» it’s $ 4.00 is it worth it yes do you need to charge for it as an appetizer um no… They have specials our server was great and helpful. I ordered the«Angry Caesar Salad» it has all the pre requisite stuff on it what makes it angry are the almonds tossed in some ancho chili powder or something of that ilk it was tasty. If you want chicken or salmon with it there is an up charge. In all honesty I don’t think this on its own is worth $ 10. Yes it was tasty but really? Most of us ordered that or a version of the salad. Someone else ordered the«Seasonal Medley» of seasonal veggies and grains. It looked fabulous but it was $ 17?! Ok?! We got a side of Fries w/the blueberry ketchup both great. I know this seems to be an odd combo for ketchup but it was tasty and the fries were cooked correctly. Someone else got the Grilled Wings my friend said they were tasty and meaty. My feeling is its the area they think/feel they can charge what they want. Ok fine. Price point wise I’m not convinced. I’ll give them 3.5 for food, ambiance 4.5, service 4.5. Would I go back maybe. And that’s all I can say is Maybe… The food is tasty but it’s not enough to say«hey lets go back next week.» If someone else is paying ok… My salad, I got the bread and my ice tea was $ 26.00 not expensive but do I feel it was worth it… Meh…

This is a great place, with a great atmosphere! The food I’ve had here has always been excellent; burgers, pizza, fries. The staff is super friendly and personable. They have a nice patio outside for the warmer months and sometimes have live bands playing. Its a nice place for a happy hour with friends, or a date!

I love it here. The two times I have been in the past year I have never had an issue. I think that it’s in the perfect location and has a unique and fun menu. The decorating is like a heaven for someone who loves Pinterest(ha). It’s just too cool inside. I hosted a party here last spring for a work reunion and they couldn’t have been more accommodating and pleasant. Give Label 7 a try. The presentation of their dishes is wonderful. New bar is beautiful and the servers have always been friendly!

I was a bit apprehensive about coming here after reading some of the reviews. My boyfriend heard great things from coworkers and ultimately made the push for it. After having dinner here, I have nothing but love for Label 7. We had reservations for 8pm. We ended up waiting just a bit which was just fine with me. They led us up to their bar area which set a good vibe for the night. I had their Hot & Dirty cocktail, almost an appetizer in itself before the host came and seated us at our table. We started off with two side salad orders of the Angry Caesar. Loved this. Great dressing, had lots of shredded parmesan, and didn’t skimp on any of the toppings. I would get this salad again just to have more of those roasted almonds — my favorite part. We then moved onto the fried green tomatoes. They could have been a touch firmer, but the topping was great. The remoulade had a nice kick to it and the pico de gallo was zesty and fresh. I’m not usually a red meat type of gal but I chose to have their hanger steak that was topped with herbed butter. It was tender and had amazing flavor, even without the butter. Overall, Label 7 provided a great meal, great service and a great experience from start to finish.

I’ve had 2 excellent experiences here! Both times ordered the burger which is really, really good. Not as good as Good Luck but still very worth it. Plus the fries come with blueberry ketchup which I absolutely LOVE. My boyfriend wasn’t a huge fan, though. The style and ambiance is very Napa Valley and cozy. Both times we sat in the bar area at a high-top. They have a lot of events like trivia(Tues. I think?), no corkage fees, and some coupons if you follow them on OpenTable. We also ordered the mac n’ cheese one occasion and I can say it was not very good at all. Pretty bland. Outside of the blueberry ketchup which is a HUGE win in my book(I love ketchup), their Donut Bread Pudding absolutely takes the cake. Our server convinced us to order one night and I was absolutely in LOVE. They make it with Wegmans donuts and serve with Pittsford Dairy vanilla ice cream. It’s not your traditional bread pudding(yuck), it’s more of a dough-y, cinnamon bun-like dessert. After I raved about it to my brother, he and his gf tried it too and loveeed it. All-in-all … order the burger, lots of blueberry ketchup, and the Donut Bread Pudding. Sit in the bar area … it’s more exciting and comfy. I can’t wait to go back!

I went here with three companions for brunch last Sunday. All of us enjoyed the Napa Valley vibe on the inside, though some of the murals threw us off a bit. As a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised by the number of options that accommodated my dietary restriction– I think I had five separate menu items to choose from for my meal!(I’m usually stuck at 1 – 2 on a good day.) We ordered their signature mimosas and were not disappointed in the slightest. However, our food was not quite as good as we were expecting. I had a fried green tomato wrap with chips that seemed promising, but the star ingredient was over fried, thus one of the tomatoes was too tough to chew. The chips were lovely. My dining companions also enjoyed their food to an extent, but none of them were impressed overall. I wish this establishment did little details better– it has the potential to be fantastic!

I like the place. I went in at 5pm and there and I think there were a few more guests. I loves the ambiance and hospitality. The bartender was awesome. She made good suggestions for the food. I must say chicken wings are a must have. You can’t go wrong with them. Fries were good, there was some herb in that made it awesome. Loved the menu. She made a few customized cocktails for me which I loved. I found some wheat beer that were fruity kinds. Of course added some gin and vodka in that(that’s just my way to have wheat beer). The washroom was clean which is always a plus. The atmosphere was good, and they had a good selection of local beer. In all it was good experience. I will go back again…

I’ve been to Label 7 probably 3 or 4 times. I went a few weeks ago and it was amazing! The renovations they made to the place blew me away. I loved it. The staff was wonderful and personable and the food was out of this world. Their fried green tomatoes are amazing, a must try if you go. I just love the atmosphere and ambiance. I will be back more often that’s for sure. They do a wonderful job!

First of all, the good: Label 7 has such a great vibe — it feels like you’ve been transported to the Napa Valley as soon as you enter — they’ve nailed that rustic yet sophisticated vibe. Airy, with a lower dining room beyond the hostess stand, and up a few steps to the bar area with a few TVs and tables. We arrived around 8p with the intention to sit out on their patio, which is large and oh so cute with twinkly lights and views of the canal across the way. The hostess stand was empty and we stood awkwardly for a few moments before going upstairs and asking the bartender if we could sit outside. He asked if there was anyone at the host stand before saying«no, of course not, because she just clocked out». No problem, but maybe they should have a sign directing patrons to the bar for seating to lessen confusion. No matter, the bartender was super friendly and helpful and got us seated outside. We intended to start with a few cocktails, and I settled on the black tea gimlet. A mix of lemon tea vodka, st. germain, black tea and a sage leaf garnish. Well, mine came garnished with a lemon and lime slice, no sage. It tasted like a great iced tea, not too sweet, although I wish it had a stronger punch of alcohol. Oh well. My friend had the cucumber gimlet and it was fine. We decided to snack, and split an order of the frites, shrimp croquettes, each had a side salad. The frites were good, nice and salty, although the ketchup tasted a little weird. Too sweet or something. The salads were fine, nothing memorable, the dressing was bland. The shrimp croquettes were far and away the best thing we ate — a nice sweet/spicy sticky sauce on them, nice and crunchy, and you could taste the miso. I would definitely order them again. The service is where the two star rating comes in. Ugh. I think this experience was some of the worst service I’ve ever encountered in Rochester. Our waitress was pretty aloof and seemed totally disengaged, which is off putting. She did her job, although it took a while to get us cocktails, and it wasn’t too busy on the patio(about six tables when we arrived with two servers). We were busy chatting so she came back to take our order and seemed perturbed that we were only ordering some light plates, and not a full meal. When I explained that I wanted the side salad(under sides on the menu) she was confused and said the name of a main dish salad instead. When I said«no» and reiterated when I meant, I had to point to it on the menu. She did come by and ask if everything was ok, but never asked if we wanted another drink. Two parties came in and we were winding down, and she waited on them as well, but after bringing us the check, we never saw her again. Well, we saw her wait on the other two tables, but she never came back around to get the check. 20 – 25 minutes of seeing her, but not close enough to call out or motion to her in a non-disruptive manner. Finally, totally irritated, I motioned to the other server walking by our table and asked her to take our check for us. She said of course, and that she just had to get the our server’s ‘code’ to the process. You’d think our original server would have come over to apologize, bring us the processed check, acknowledge, SOMETHING. But alas, I saw her look over at us but nada. The other server brought the check over. Now, I know from having ears that the two late tables were high touch, they seemed to know each other, and at one point one table threw a french fry at the other table(so appropriate) and the one party was larger, but come on? 25 minutes of flat out ignoring a table who only needs their bill completed? Sorry, but her obvious disinterest and poor attitude makes me wary to ever patronize this establishment again. I hope their other servers are more positive and enjoy their job!

Terrific restaurant with a great ambience(great sitting out near the canal). The staff was wonderful and the service was fast. I went with their recommendations and was not disappointed. The cheddar burger would be in my top 5– went with the menu suggestion of medium and it was perfect. The bourbon ketchup put it over the top; the truffle fries were also pretty great. For dessert I had their donut bread pudding, which came with local vanilla ice cream. I was hesitant because I am not a bread pudding fan(tend to be a chocolaholic), but it was amazing. It tasted more like an apple crisp without the apple or crispy French toast and the raspberry sauce brought all the great flavors together.

I love the vibe at Label 7, and the food is fine, but Jesus H. Macy, it is overpriced. Not just«expensive» but insanely expensive for what you get. The San Fran lo mein is overly sweet, overly sauced, and doesn’t really let the rock shrimp or the sausage shine — everything in the dish was overpowered by the sticky-sweet, candy-like sauce. And it was $ 26. Fried green tomatoes were overcooked. Cheese tasting board is OK, but nothing you can’t get elsewhere. Wings are a nice upscale variation from the usual; on my last visit, however, they were undercooked. I shouldn’t have to gnaw on a chicken bone like a cavewoman to get the meat off it. I don’t mind paying high prices for out-of-this-world food, but the food at Label 7 isn’t. Yes, I know that when you come here you’re paying for the location, primarily, and the«scene» — which is largely Pittsfordians with way more money than taste. To me, however, this is a place to get a glass or two of wine en route to dinner elsewhere.

Great find by my coworkers. Bar service was great. Wine selection at the bar is basic. However, for $ 15 they will uncork whatever bottle you bring. That is a fantastic service at any restaurant. Our waiter was friendly and informative. We had a few appetizers which were all very good. The dip for the bread was a little too much oil and a bit light on the balsamic vinegar. The bread itself was fantastic. A few of us had the gourmet macaroni and cheese, everyone loved it and said it was super creamy. A few also sampled the 6 ounce ribeye special over garlicky mashed potatoes topped with asparagus which was the special of the evening. I myself sampled the meat and cheese tray and had an angry Caesar salad. The Caesar salad is a little bit spicy and perfectly sized as a side dish. Overall I would say that this is a great place to come with a group or a bunch of girlfriends. The bar was crowded and low-key everybody having small conversations, the dining room was lovely. The decorations throughout the restaurant are very, very nice and I was super impressed by the bar that is lit from underneath with sparkles that look like twinkling stars. The next time I’m in the Victor, New York area I will be sure to stop by!

It was very clear we were not given a table and told it was a two hour wait(plenty of tables open inside and outside) because we were not dressed up. This was a spur of the moment decision and they made sure I will not be coming back.

Third visit to Label 7. We tried their Tasting Board as an appetizer. It has two types of meat(prosciutto and salami), cheese, olives and bread. It was pretty good. They had a special tonight: quarter rack of Korean BBQ Ribs served over French Fries. The sauce was tangy and mildly spicy. It was pretty good. We also had a cheeseburger, which is always good. Our server, Garrett was very helpful and informative. It was a perfect summer evening, and sitting outside was really enjoyable. Their price is reasonable, but a tad on the high side. The total including four soft drinks was $ 89+.

I wish I could be increasing the number of stars on my review. The new bar area is spacious and comfortable. The drinks continue to be very good. The staff continues to be helpful. The kitchen has not kept up their end of the bargain over the years though. While you can still get some great entrees, the diversity and seasonal adventure has become substantially more muted. The tasting board, a regular favorite of ours, no longer apparently comes with the roasted garlic, the garlic butter jelly, or guacamole. Just 6 tiny cubes of cheese, a few wafer thin slices of meat, a small dish of pickled veggies, a small dish of nuts, lots of bread and a few slices of citrus. At $ 17 it is not a bargain for anyone but their bottom line. It used to be a lovely starter for a few people to pick on. Lastly, using a busy dining room as an excuse for 60+ minute ticket times is a lack of planning for an expensive-range restaurant targeting a higher end demographic. The diners visiting before prom were reserved in advance. Label just doesn’t have the same quality and feel that it had for years.

Yeah, this place is worth a five star review. I hadn’t heard of Label 7 before I loaded up my OpenTable app to make a dinner reservation for Saturday night. Label 7 had the time I was looking for, so I took a look at their menu and booked the time. I’ll try anything once(not brown bananas, though), so I figured why not? The restaurant was pretty easy to find but off the beaten track from where I usually go. Imagine my surprise to find it nestled in a quaint little village on the canal. Now imagine me surprised again when I open the doors and walk into a restaurant that’s absolutely stunning. I loved this place from top to bottom. Great craft beers and cocktails, fantastic wine selection, and an innovative menu. I ordered the chicken and waffles. It was served with bacon, maple syrup, and an herb butter. The chicken was *perfect*. The waffle was fluffy. The syrup was the best accent. The bacon brought it to another dimension. Seriously, the meal was insanely delicious. I’m told they just re-added this to the menu, because I didn’t see it when I loaded up the menu on my phone. I’d recommend going just for this, it’s 100% worth it. Honestly, I’m hesitant to even review this place on Unilocal.I don’t want it to become so popular that I can’t get a reservation. For me, this place rivals Good Luck as one of the top meals I’ve had in Rochester. Can’t wait to go back.

I feel like I need to write a review to help others who may be mis-led like I was with previous Unilocal reviews. I LOVE a good burger, often crave it, so several people and fellow Unilocalers suggested this place as one of the«best burgers in town». I have to strongly disagree. Not only was the infamous blueberry ketchup literally just ketchup that was blue, but the burger was really just OK. I’ve had better almost anywhere. If the meat isn’t incredible(which this wasn’t) then you have to spice it up accordingly(and this wasn’t). My husband ordered the fish(can’t remember which) and it was not good either. This place seems way overpriced and the hype of just being in the Pittsford Village is not enough. I was warned about the service, so at least that wasn’t a surprise, but it is true that the service is really slow. On the plus side, I do have to say that being able to BYOB is really nice, and the ambience is very romantic and authentically French looking, which is unique to Rochester.

Went to Label 7 for lunch today. After looking at the menu online was very excited for the bahn mi however it wasn’t on the menu when we got there. Our server was great. He was also the host and I think the bartender too. It was very slow with only 3 tables occupied, so it wasn’t an issue. I had the fried green tomato blt, which I thought was a sandwich but was actually a salad. Absolutely delish! Perfect combination of textures and flavors and the fried green tomatoes were perfect. Hubby had the Cuban. It was delish as well, only complaint was it was supposed to have pork belly on it but we didn’t see that there was. It came with homemade chips which were cooked perfectly. Sometimes homemade chips are overlooked and taste burnt. We shared an order of fries. Best fries ever! Thin shoestring style. And the kicker — sprinkled with grated truffle! I love truffles so I was in heaven. Hubby can live without them but he even thought they were great. The blueberry ketsup was good and unique. However the fries didn’t need it. The bar area is beautiful. They have live music every few weeks and would love to check that out too.

This had been one of our favorite places with a unique menu and nice outside seating plus a decent happy hour. We had visited many times over the years… then in 2013 we ate here two different times and the service from the kitchen was absolutely horrible. The waits for food took over one hour on two different occasions — we swore the place off. With a coupon in hand and over a year since our last visit we decided to give them another try since the reviews seemed to be better… We attempted to get a reservation for 7pm but they said the earliest was 7:45 — ok but when we arrived before 7pm to catch the last of the happy hour they were able to seat us then, really? Anyway that was the only negative of the visit. It was a busy Friday and the service was good and the wait for our food was reasonable — problems fixed? I hope so. The seafood bisque was spicy and flavorful and not too thick nor too thin in texture. The burger was done perfectly medium rare and the frites were excellent, the best in town. Hot, crispy and thin as if they were right from Europe where they know how to make frites… The enchilada was good though it seemed smaller but no big deal. With the now bigger bar and the kitchen back on track we will return.

I would like to begin my review by saying that Label 7 has renovated their bar area! According to many other reviewers the ceiling was uncomfortably low and there was very little space at the bar. I mentioned this to the bartender(since there was A LOT of space when I went!) and he told me that they had redone the place. Now, the bar is all the same height on 3 sides, and the 4th side is a hightop. The bands play behind that 4th side and it can get a *little loud*, but it’s not too bad noise-wise. The whole place has a very open feel to it. Loved it. Service was excellent, if I could give them 7 stars for service I would. The bartender was very friendly, chatty, seemed genuinely concerned with how we were enjoying our food/drinks. He even made me a whiskey sour with lemon juice instead of sour mix because I’m a pain in the ass. When another bartender showed up a little later for the dinner rush, she was just as pleasant and helped my friends and I dissect my tab when I closed out(because as I mentioned, I’m a pain in the ass.) The food was very good; chips and dip were delicious(homemade kettle chips? I think?), their fries are to die for, and their burger was pretty good. There’s a nice selection of beers, wines, and liquors — and they’ll let you try a sample of something to see if you like it before you commit to a whole glass. Some places nowadays won’t do that for you. Happy hour is from 4 — 7 every day and offers half priced drinks. I loved this place. I’ll be back often.

It took me way too long to finally try out Label 7! My friend and I came here with intentions of having a light dinner. Let’s just say that didn’t happen… We splurged a little and shared the chips & dip, napa salad, and the cheddar burger. The homemade chips were great. They make a different homemade dip every night which is awesome. That night was a roasted red pepper hummus. The napa chicken salad was also great. I loved the kick of wasabi in the dressing and the fact that they served it in a huge bowl with chopsticks. For a $ 13 salad, I was hoping for more chicken. No biggie… as soon as the cheddar burger came out all of my attention shifted! The burger at Label 7 deserves its own section for my review. It was incredibly juicy and had just the right amount of toppings to compliment the beef. We’re just getting started here though… it comes with fresh fries and BLUEBERRY ketchup. Yes, you read that right. If I had to recommended something here, I would recommend anything that is served with this ketchup. It is too good. I love that they incorporate products from local places such as the Pittsford Dairy Farm. If you’re an IPA drinker, they have Flower Power IPA on draft from Ithaca Brewery which is now one of my favorites. Aside from the food and drinks, the atmosphere is awesome. They definitely have a Cali wine country vibe going on. Check this place out!
