Walmart Supercenter

Came here with my boyfriend to pick up a few things. The floor staff was so so and didn’t seem to know where the simple things were. When asked for boots she pointed in one direction and said if you don’t see them there we don’t have them. Come to find out she was pointing us in the wrong section. We finally found them on our own. When ready to check out the cashier was rude to say the least. She didn’t greet either of us or look us in the eye. When finished she handed my boyfriend his boots and continued talking to her co-​worker. He sat there and started to bag them himself while she watched unbothered. If you don’t want to work with customers, you definitely shouldn’t be working at Walmart! I will not be giving this store any of my business again. Very ignorant cashier!

I’ve been told that this Supercenter is a huge improvement on the old Supercenter that it replaced. That may be so, but I found this one to be a little on the run down side. Picked over, not leveled and generally untidy in the menswear section and the personal care/​pharmacy areas. Self-​checkout was quick but there were lines at the open registers. Cart corrals out front were not quite full but needed some cart wrangling.
But it’s a huge store and maybe other sections that I did not visit were better.

It’s Walmart, that’s for sure. It’s a decent walmart, decent size, clean, good selection of stuff. It’s not too busy there, though sometimes it can be. My biggest and pretty much only complaint is that they always only have like 2 registers open, which is fine when it’s not busy, but when it is? Prepare to wait. The employees are nice people, never had an issue with an employee. I did however have an issue with a manager once. We wanted to buy fish, and we asked for a fish person, nobody was coming. So the guy working electronics went over for us, and got the fish. His manager came over, and publicly shamed/​yelled at the employee who was simply doing his job (helping customers) because he left the electronics department, but yet, there was another person in electronics. I reported the manager and praised the employee. Seriously managers, treat your employees well, bad managers create bad employees. Otherwise, it’s a good Walmart.

no coin star? walmart website said there was coin star. i brought all my coins to walmart in pittston and spend 20 minutes looking around store for walmart all to find that there’s no con star. dusappointed

It’s way more pleasant to shop at this particular Wal Mart. The Wilkes Barre Wal Mart is a darn zoo. Very strange and ignorant people shop and work there. This one is like a breath of fresh air.
