My wife and I went in last Thursday and had a look around. She found some pre-packed quilted books of «abc’s» and 123’s” to make for the grandchildren. We asked if they had more and were told no. We bought them. My wife got home and discovered that some of the packages were mislabeled. Because of this she wasn’t able to give one of each to each grandchild. She called the store this morning and explained the situation to the shopkeeper. The lady said she remembered us and they don’t take returns! Period! My wife has been quilting for 25 years and was a long time customer of Janie’s «Calico House». Miss her a lot ! WE WILL NEVER HO TO THIS STORE AGAIN! The older blonde that runs/owns it is atrocious.

I am in love with this new shop. I’m and OVER joyed with the willingness to help me yet allow me to browse without any pressure. Finding this little quilt shop makes my heart explode with sweet sewing/quilting happiness. They had a great but small section of 30s reprint which I was looking for. I didn’t expect to buy anything but I walked out with some goodies for my 1930s farmers wife quilt along.
Thanks sherri and her daughter! Love the stamp card for purchases! There’s a discount for the year once the card is filled!

Moved to this location after Calico House quit. Don’t feel a direction yet in taste. Small selection not specialized and feels sort of older traditional without reproduction fabrics. Lots of quilt backs available. Patterns scattered on all the shelf ends. Wide variety of rulers but not a complete collection.

Quilt Cupboard moved from Garden Grove. was worried Sherri, owner wouldn’t be able to fill the new place. This is the only thing that improved from the old place… nice décor and layout.
BUT once you talk to Sherri your impression will change. Those that work for her are quite pleasant and helpful.
Sherri on the other side is lacking that «customer service» style.
But yes this my personal interpretation… give her a try and see how you feel at the way she assists customers with their questions.
IF you are doing the Row to Row event — you can find the background fabric at the quilt shop with 5-stars in San Dimas… I did I bought 2 yards.
