A total rip off! Every year the glass gets smaller. This year it’s only 4 ounces. You will wait in a 10 minute line in the hot sun just to get a half glass; they only pour you half a glass. If you wind up standing in line the whole three hours, your $ 40 will only get you approximately 36 ounces of beer. You would be much better off going to one of the local breweries. I

Wow, Placerville, you really know how to throw a party. This was my first time at the Bell Tower Brewfest, and I was impressed with how the entire community gets involved in making this event a fun and interactive craft beer tasting. Placerville shuts down Main St. in the heart of historic downtown for three hours and brings in over 35 craft breweries(and a couple not-so-craft breweries) for unlimited tastings. Most tastings take place inside of local merchants, so participants are able to check out the goods while waiting for samples of suds. I give extra props to the businesses with expensive, fragile wares(pottery, antiques, etc.) who open their doors for those who may no longer be entirely sober. Add three bands for outdoor entertainment and inexpensive ticket prices($ 30 a person), and you’ve got yourself a genuinely good time.
