Love this place, sale prices are the best around, much better service than walmart down the street.

How soon people forget when K Mart was the only game in town to provide us a large selection at economical prices. This company has donated a lot of money to our local charities & has for many years. I continue to support them, as they supported us for so many years. I am so disappointed in some of the other reviews. Must we always have the latest, greatest everything?

Night and Day different from Walmart. The checkers are friendly, you don’t have to wait in line for 15 minutes. Plenty of stock on the shelves.

Don’t shop or do any business at Kmart in Placerville. I took back some jeans with the tags still on and they would only offer me one cent for them. I’ve been doing business with this store for over 30 years… no more… will not ever walk into this store again.

Worst place I have ever experienced. No customer service and the cashier was so rude that she was telling me I was ruining her day by not being a member before she even said hello. I had to buy one thing. I will never go back.

Oh I think comparing Kmart to WalMart is a must! Kmart, although slightly more expensive, employs people with more knowledge and better attitudes than WalMart. In fact, WalMart’s cheap prices a) reflect the quality of their products and b) often weed out the lower-income shoppers, making Kmart a safer place to shop!

Can you really compare Kmart to Wal-Mart? Well of course you can and must. Especially if you live in El Dorado County and you don’t have very many choices for discount bargin shopping. The crap at Kmart is almost the same crap as Wal-Mart, only crappier. Wal-mart must have a better bargaining position with the third world sweat shop workers. Its evident in the thread bare clothing offerings, cheap furniture and the awful Martha Stewart pickings. The only thing about Placerville Kmart that is better then Placerville Wal-mart is that there are no people in the store. Ever! I don’t know how or why this store manages to stay open. If it does go down, that poor shopping center will be a total ghost town, instead of the depressed shopping center it is now.
