Good little shop, but… I went here to pick up a few items for my guitar because I was in the area, and had a little time to kill. The guy at the counter did a good job of checking on the customers, but he seemed to be the only employee actually doing anything. The inside of the store smelled of smoke, and the store was kind of dark. The merchandise was WAY overpriced, and this was my biggest gripe. I paid almost $ 70 for some new strings, a capo, and a tuner. On Amazon, I would have paid about $ 35. Never again. I am very disappointed with this store.

Over the years, I’ve purchased a guitar here, I’ve had lessons on two different instruments, and purchased various gifts and accessories. When I have asked, they have always been very responsive and helpful. They always find what I need if they have it in stock. It’s great for a small music shop.

Agree with the service ratings posted here. My husband and I went in looking for a Christmas gift and we too were ignored the entire time we were in the store and we were the only customers most of the time. At one point my husband used the restroom which was apparently a private not public facility. My husband didn’t notice a sign and meant no harm, the door was open. Well the sales person addressed me, after he was already in the restroom, and scolded me for the use of it. We left immediately and we will NEVER go back. We were going to make a purchase that day too, they had a pedal we wanted. Oh well.

I agree with the other review the service is BAAAADD. They messed up the bridge and incorrectly strung my acoustic guitar their customer service is surly and indifferent ATBEST The music lesson teachers seem to be knowledgeable which is the only reason i even gave this place one star…so, take the lessons here if you can’t get to another nearby town, but if you need service on an instrument I would sooner WALK to the next town than let these people touch it. ..

I am going to beat up on this music store for one reason, service. Having kids that play music, playing fairly expensive guitars myself, I have never had poorer service in a music store than this place. Guitar Center has much better service and that should sting. I have been in this store at least 10 times to browse, buy drum sticks, guitar strings, etc. and I have never been greeted or asked to be helped. No one has ever tried to sell me anything! How do you run a retail business and not try to sell stuff. Unbelievable. I know the owner is the lawyer upstairs and I believe he owns the building. He must get by on lessons and repairs as I can’t imagine anyone buying a guitar there. On xmas tree lighting night(Nov 30) I had my entire family in there plus there must have been at least 10 more customers. The staff never left the confines of the counter at assist customers. If a person enters your business they are a customer even if the don’t buy that day. Why? The impression you give that day will influence his/her decision to come back. Mr. lawyer, get rid of those idiots you have and get some customer service oriented people and maybe you’ll sell a few guitars. Oh by the way, it’s «hello, welcome» and«thanks for your business, take care».
