In an unassuming storefront in downtown Plain City, the Historical Society collects artifacts, documents, and photographs from the surrounding area. The volunteers can answer questions or guide you to the appropriate reference. Most of the people grew up nearby, so they can fill you in on local stories, etc.
Definitely worth a visit from anyone interested in history, or who just lives nearby and wants to know more about their house or town.
