We called Air Tigers on a Monday morning, and the phone rang several times. I hung up just as someone answered. My husband called an hour later, and he was told that he’d get a call back if they could get someone in our area. If? It’s early November, and we live in the town this business is located. He decided to go run some errands while waiting for a call. He was out in Downers Grove when Air Tigers called him back and said they would be in the area in 20 minutes. Speedy service with little notice. They were right on time and patient with the fact that they arrived to our home before my husband returned. Within an hour they had diagnosed and fixed the problem(a broken thermocoupler and something else), and they cleaned out the dust for just under $ 300. If I had a problem, I’d use them again. I just would’ve liked for us to at least have an estimate of when someone would arrive.

It 8:30pm new year’s day and I get a call from my tenant that the heater is not working… what a great start to the new year. Not knowing any hvac guys in the area I turned to Google and Unilocal for guidance. I happened upon Air Tigers, placed a call and the service tech was at the property within 30 minutes and the furnace was up in running within an hour. Now… that is what I call reliable service! Big thanks to Bob and the tech for turning my frown upside down and improving the start to the new year! I know who I will be turning to in the future!

During the first cold snap of the year, of course, something went kabooie! on our furnace. On a Saturday. I don’t mind the cold, but my husband’s southern blood is not as attuned as mine. So after he troubleshot everything on the damned furnace, he threw his hands up, and asked me to look in the phone book to get someone out to repair it. Well, I looked, and found these guys. The reason I chose them? Because in the ad, it showed the repair vans had tiger striped paint jobs, and I just thought that was really cool. I called, thinking if I wanted them to come out, it was going to cost an arm and a leg for weekend service. They were very polite on the phone, asked me what kind of furnace it was, what the problem was, and that they would be there at noon. And the guy did show up exactly at noon. He was working on the furnace for about an hour or so. It turned out that the main circuit board was ruined. But they stock parts for all major appliances in their vans, so he was able to replace it right away. Time for the bill. I was inwardly cringing and dreading the moment. It was a grand total of $ 435. After he left, I looked at the bill and noticed that they only charge a $ 35 flat rate for a service call, not labor by the hour. That was very surprising. So I figured the up-charged on the part, but with a little research, I found out they actually charged $ 2 lower than the cost of the part. I couldn’t have been happier, because they fixed the furnace, and also saved me from listening to my husband cry about how cold he is! They cover most of the far suburban area, including Westmont, Plainfield, Joliet, Downers Grove, Bolingbrook, Lockport, and many others. So next time I need any appliance repair, I know who to call!
