It’s a great dog park… except for the guy who brings two pit bulls and lets them run free. They came running to our very small pug and attacked: growled, bit, pulled — -our dog was really bitten up, bleeding. Their owner was kicking them off with his work boots… and then had the nerve to say our dog ‘started it’. Please watch out for this guy and his dogs — they’re dangerous. We should have filed a complaint but were so taken aback by it all.

Alright — I gotta admit: I’m biased. Not only was this one of a handful of dog parks I’ve ever been to, it was also walking distance and — I went in with low expectations! I recently moved to Plainfield, and while I’m dog-less, my best friend just adopted. I researched this park, and found just a few articles. What surprised me most, however, were the negative comments on all of the articles! So, on a sunny weekend afternoon, we walked to the park and had a blast. It’s a good sized area; there was one other owner and his two dogs, and they all played together. The shape of the park is nice too; it strays dogs away from the entrance, which is helpful for people leaving. It’s not a huge facility but we had a blast!
