He is a serious kind of barber — NO JOKES here — matter of fact there is a sign on the front door that says NO BULLSH*T, but none of this seriousness takes away from the awesome flat-tops that Matthew cuts. After about of year of going to him I have gotten to know his style and am fine with it.
Now each time I go there I make it a challenge to try to make him laugh or even smile… talk about Chicago and that will win him over and you’ll get a smile — He loves Chicago! In summary Matthew is a very hard working barber with a no-nonsense attitude — but I like it and know what to expect.
He supports MILITARY/PUBLIC SAFETY/FIRE/POLICE !!! We Thank him for that!

The owner give a great fade for $ 13. He is a licensed barber, and doesn’t seem to hate his job like the previous reviewer had stated. I will definitely return

Matt (the owner and proprietor) is incredibly reasonable and creates a real relationship with all of his clients. He is dedicated, fair, and funny. I personally love that he uses a straight razor on my neck to give the best look possible. I cannot recommend his services enough!

This place is dirty and not well taken care of. The barber hates his job, this area, most people, the radio, … just about everything. It was obvious he did not want to be there. The haircut was ok but I cannot recommend to anyone.
