This place was right around the corner from the Guatemalan Bakery. It serves a la carte or cafeteria style. I wanted to try everything because it looked good but I could not fill myself up because my mission was to find good tamales. Although i returned to the bakery for tamales, this place is definately the right place for good warm food. Guatelinda did a better job warming and cooking the food which it should as it is a restaurant. My only complaint is the the service and the confusion in the waitresses eyes when I questioned them about the food, take out and menu. I’m pretty sure it was my Spanish. I would go back however as the prices were good and the portions shown in pictures on the menu looked large. Breakfast looked as good as the specials too. Well worth the trip to Plainfield.

Great lunch specials! I always get carne asada and it comes with rice, beans, salad and freshly made tortillas for $ 8.00! I usually call in and pick it up since its on the same block as my job so I have never actually dined in but the restaurant is small and clean. The food is always delicious, fresh, fast and comes in large portions. Enjoy!

Horrid place for new people in the neighborhood. Went there in such a good mood. Went in for rice and beans, stood and waited as the waitress ignored me, when I was literally in front of her. Then when I asked for an order of rice and beans the guy went to the back and came out with beans in a small container. I asked for rice and beans in a small platter and no lie he put the container with the beans INTO the serving platter and closed it. Seriously. At this point I said okay and paid since I honestly just felt tension and was not in the mood to let it ruin my day. I went across the street and right away I got what I was looking for and with a smile.
