Harvest House Quilts is a very unique store. You might think you’re in the wrong spot as your GPS guides you to the address, as it’s a residential community. It’s not wrong, the business is actually in the basement of a house. The owner suggests calling ahead, and make sure you RING THE BELL!
There was an astonishing amount of stock in this store, with more patterns, fabric, notions and more around lots of corners and in nooks and crannies. The owner’s husband also does glass work, and his beautiful objects are on sale.
I have to say my mom and I really enjoyed this store, but the guy working here was polite bordering on pushy, and he followed us around the store to the point where we would have bought more stuff if he’d have left us alone to browse. He’s justifiably proud of his store, but just let us look in peace, please!
They also rent their long arm quilting machine, so if you’re looking to learn how to DIY, it’s worth looking in to Harvest House. Definitely check it out if you’re in Plainfield and into quilting. (Just, seriously, ring the bell!!)
