It IS a steak house. The décor isn’t original, the peanuts on the table aren’t new & the menu while really tasty & well prepared isn’t «to die for«. That all being said, the reason I will go back is because the staff took service to a wonderful level. My mother in law had the«kicking chicken salad » & it was listed as having a bit of spice. It was too spicy for her. The manager Heather stopped by the table just as my mother said she wouldn’t send it back. Heather went swiftly to the kitchen & had a plain grilled chicken breast back to our table within 15 min. In between those minutes she made sure to stop & tell us that it was on the grill. And she delivered it to our table herself. That kind of service is to be applauded & rewarded. We did both & we will go back.

The kicking chicken salad is great. However, I ventured out and tried the pork chop sandwich because it has bacon jam on it. I was a little disappointed since the pork chop would’ve done better with a knife and fork. The bacon jam was delicious! Others tried the country fried steak and thought it was really good. Overall: good food!

I was there 10 days ago. Horribly slow service. Just me and it took…15 minutes to get my table wiped…15 more for water and bread…20 more for salad and another 18 minutes for food. Food wasn’t very good either. Salmon was mushy. I have been to several Logan’s and this was by far the worst. I don’t recommend this store!

It took over an hour to get our food, worst service of any steakhouse that we have eaten at .no one even seems to be aware that they are slow when asked why it has taken so long we were told that they were busy but you could see 16 empty seats. we now remember why we don’t eat here

I walked in and was seated immediately, I sat down and started eating the peanuts on the table. I was looking at my phone, returning emails and text and I realized I was thirsty. I then looked at my phone and I had been sitting there for 15 minutes and not one wait staff approached me. I set my timer for 5 minutes, looked around and waited. Timer went off still no one has come to my table. There was tables all around me getting served. I got up went to the front counter and no one was there so I left. I then called the store and asked for the manager and then I could see why something like this could happen because she could not have cared less.

Tables not cleaned. Took 20 minutes to get water and one beer. Beer wasn’t cold. To bad the female manager couldn’t help out and pitch in to help staff. Manager standing around host stand. General Manager needs to get a clue about his business.

I went to Logan’s with my mom on Monday. I’m currently 8 months pregnant. When we walked in we were taken to a small table at the very back of the restaurant despite all the open tables. I understand the peanut shells are part of the décor there but I slid on shells, the floor in the drink station area was super wet with puddles of water everywhere. The small booth for 2 was cramped and when I asked to move the waiter told me all the booths were the same size. The table wasn’t level so whenever we set anything down the table would rock. While eating my salad I found a hard bristle in it. At first I thought it was hair but it was very hard. I informed my waiter and he apologized and took it back to the kitchen. Our food was decent but not great considering the price. We were charged full price on everything despite our complaint with the salad. Our drinks were also pricy. $ 3 or a tea and $ 3 for a diet coke. Our waiter was friendly but didn’t seem very interested in taking care of us. A manager happened by and asked how our meal was. We told her about the salad and she took $ 4 off our bill. Still almost $ 30 for lunch. We won’t be going back to Logan’s any time soon.

Spur of the moment decision to go out to dinner. The service was incredible, our waitress was on the ball. Drinks kept full, courses timed perfect, and a great personality. Our steaks were cooked as ordered and very tasty. I recommend their fries whenever the opportunity presents– seasoned and you get a large portion. The dinner rolls are delicious… ok, I admit it I love my carbs. For a chain steakhouse, this was a great experience.

Chain restaurant wasn’t expecting much. Wife’s streak was bleeding asked for medium well. Sent it back came back burnt and cut up in three pieces. Just took off completely. They did half price on my food. Waitress was nice and apologetic. Won’t come back.

1 star is too many. We waited so long for a table that my handicapped Aunt could sit at that we missed the time for the 2 meals for $ 14.99. We went out of the way to come here but will never again. I would have left but my family insisted on staying. There should be more tables for handicapped people. Waiting 1.5 hours is not right when there were tons of open booths that were no useable for our party. 15 min was too long to offer us the special which I specifically asked about when we walked in at 5. Food was mediocre at best.

I ordered a healthy dish off the back of the menu. Apparently it doesn’t happen often because what they brought me was a small plate with a piece of chicken on it, neglecting the side salad and broccoli that come with it. The food was fine but the service was lacking. The fact that the waitress, food runner, and a third person who may have been a manager didn’t realize right away that something was amiss was disconcerting. They also tried to convince someone at my table the the steak melt was the same as the steak sandwich, which another glance at the menu proved to be untrue. Half way trough the meal all of our glasses were empty and remained that way until we left. The waitress may be new and if that’s the case her coworkers and trainers really failed her.

We were in Plainfield for a music rehearsal, and wondering what to do for dinner. We were right next to Logan’s and chose it because it was convenient and had more options than I burger place. I was prepared to be underwhelmed, but I have to say, it was a pretty darn good experience. Was it St Emo’s? Of course not. But for a chain steakhouse, it was well above average. Our waitress was helpful and courteous, if a little harried, and the food? It was hot, tasty, and satisfying. My steak was delivered cooked exactly as I ordered it, and my wife’s chicken was good, also. While it’ll never be my first choice, I wouldn’t hesitate to stop here again.

By far my favorite restaurant in the area. My fiancé and I go here all the time. Great food, great service, average prices.

I typically have a personal policy not to review chain locations on Unilocal(unless they are hotels), but I’m breaking my own rules for this one. We try our best to eat at local, non-chain restaurants, but Plainfield’s Logan’s WAS one of the chains we would cave for once in awhile… but no more. When we first moved to the Plainfield-area around 4.5 years ago, Logan’s would be one of our default restaurants if any of our favorite non-chain regulars didn’t sound good & I wasn’t in the mood to cook. In theory, you«can’t go wrong» with a steak, salad & potato. Actually, at Plainfield’s Logan’s you CAN apparently go horribly, horribly wrong… Over the past 2 years, we have noticed a Very Consistent downward slide in customer service, staff management, food quality, & food preparation. It’s common not to be able to get a true Rare or Med Rare steak at a chain restaurant, I understand that. But in our experience at our last visit, if you order a steak Rare, and it comes to your table Well Done(like well done enough that you could use it as a charcoal briq in the grill)…the kitchen will THEN send out the refire as a sarcastically«blue» steak… that didn’t even have grill marks on it, it was so rare/raw(think a light gray color on the outside). My favorite, in this particular example, is that we promptly asked for the manager(since our total wait-time was now at almost 1.5 hours for food)…and She was RIDICULOUSLY rude & unapologetic for the experience. If you do find yourself HAVING to go to Logan’s in Plainfield. Do not sit in the bar area. Sure, it will be a shorter wait time for a table… but the bar area is consistently VERY understaffed, where the bartenders also serve as the waiters for the numerous tables surrounding the sizeable bar. There is No Way for 1 – 2 individuals to properly service this large of an area & pour/mix drinks for the entire restaurant… Also, if you HAVE to eat here… there is a delightful husband/wife serving duo who work here some nights that are wonderful servers. I can’t remember their names right now(will revise the review if it comes to me), but while the food will most likely still suck, you will at least get pleasant, friendly, attentive service, prompt drink refills. Really, they should fire whoever the actual managers are for this restaurant & put this duo in charge. They know how customers should be treated… we have had success being seated in their areas by saying«I can’t remember their names, but are the husband/wife duo working tonight? If so, can we be seated in one of their sections?»

Pricey, food was average. My son’s steak tips well… he spent most of the time TRYING to eat it cause it was so tough. No real sandwich options, a bbq chicken or bbq beef sandwich would be nice. Waitress didn’t go too out of her way as well. Not impressed.

Went for dinner. Sat for 15 minutes… Nobody said hello or offered to take a drink order. Nothing. They kept servicing everyone around me. Just not me. I left. First I told the hostess that my server never came to my table. Then I left. Went to Qdoba’s and had some great service and awesome chicken tortilla soup! :)

Good food, good service, reasonable prices. We visited there last night. We had a party of 4 and 2 ordered steaks which were to their liking. We all love the rolls. One ordered the Chicken Salad and loved it and I ordered the Mini Roadies. It was different being on one of the rolls they generally serve before you eat, but good. The chips that come with it are very salty. I would probably substitue a different side dish if I ordered that again.
