Plainfield Eye Care

I have been going to Plainfield Eye Care and Dr. Groninger for more than 20 years, and I can’t imagine going to any other eye care professional. Everyone is wonderful, and I feel confident that I am getting the best care possible.

The staff was friendly and I had what was almost an ideal experience for an optometrist. They were quick, I got to order my contacts same day, and everyone was nice. Unfortunately, they still dilated my eyes. It had been at least 5 years since I’d had my eyes dilated — it’s an old technology. They even have the equipment to no longer require it! I recently moved to Plainfield but I’ll be going somewhere else again next year.

Based on the positive reviews I decided to call and make an appointment for my daughter. Unfortunately, the receptionist was very rude and I decided to take my business elsewhere.

Dr. Groniger and her staff are warm, friendly and extremely accommodating. Their «chair side» manner is over the top. If you need glasses, they offer a broad selection of frames and lenses to choose from.

I fully agree with Rachel W’s review, but I’d take it a step further. I used to live west of Plainfield, but I moved to the North East side of Indianapolis (Keystone at the Crossing). You really only visit the eye doctor once, maybe 2x a year, so I drive to Plainfield to go to Plainfield Eye Clinic.
I had Lasik surgery in Ft. Wayne and Dr. Groninger-​Bright at Plainfield Eye care worked with the Lasik center I used so that I could have all of my pre and post op care done locally through her. She has had Lasik. She is very personable and knowledgeable.
If you need to go to an eye doctor, live near or far, you should visit Plainfield Eye Care. Remember, you always get what you pay for, and I prefer to pay for quality when it comes to my eyes.

My husband and I visited this office last fall. We came here based on other online reviews and we weren’t disappointed! Office staff was very friendly and we were able to schedule both of our appointments same day, back-​to-​back. We had contact lens and eyeglasses exams done. Dr. Waldon was very friendly; had we not moved from the area we’d still be clients. Highly recommend this office if you’re searching for a new eye doctor, you’re new to the area, etc.

The staff are awesome. Way way way better than commercial vision care chains. Worth the drive for me every time.
