I am so sad about the new ownership. Had two recent incidents. They have updated the physical aspect of the facility but that personal, family feeling we got with Kevin is gone. My son wanted his bday party there. I called for 5 days with no return phone call. I had to go in to make the arrangements. Because he is a teenager, he just didn’t want Pizza, he wanted to add appetizers. They made me order individual appetizers off the menu and couldn’t accommodate platters for a group.
Every summer the old owner use to allow our kids to use the summer coupon program because they were special needs but would tell us it was okay and encourage us to sign up. So we did this summer and the new owners would not let kids redeem the coupons. KEVIN WHERE ARE YOU. THE FAMILY FEELING YOU BUILT UP WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS IS GONE. Get a clue new guy. The only redeeming factor is the old employees he kept and the remodeling.

The new owner bailed on our league, leaving us all scrambling to find a new league/house. If my money isn’t good enough on Friday, it’s not good enough any other day of the week either. PS… they should fix up the holes in the lanes and maybe buy a new or used Kegel

Had a birthday party here and everything went very smooth!!! Everyone had a blast and I feel like the staff took care of everything! Cost was very reasonable and the food was great too! My daughter already said we are going back for her next party!

I used to love coming here to bowl. But when the owner decides to tell us with 2 weeks left in the season that he is canceling our league that is wrong. This is the only night I can bowl and because of this I now will not bowl any longer. I will never recommend this business to anyone and I will no longer do my candle lights here as well.

We booked our school mother/son bowling event through Plainfield Lanes last weekend and it was a great success! Everyone there was so accommodating and friendly. Jon, the owner, was friendly, patient, and took time to answer all our questions (and we had a lot being it was our first time). The event went smoothly and everyone had a great time. The place was clean and inviting not to mention the arcade part was just recently renovated. I highly recommend Plainfield Lanes to anyone looking to book a group bowling event or just to go and bowl.

Wow! I had never been to Plainfield Lanes before, but came for my nephew’s birthday party this weekend. I was very pleasantly surprised!
Most bowling alleys (if not part of a chain, ie Brunswick), have a dreary vibe to them — dark, dank and unkempt — but not here. We arrived at 1pm for the birthday party, and all of the lanes were already busy. You can tell that this business books a lot of parties — and I can see why! The price per person for parties is fantastic! They have multiple tiers of both children and adult parties, as well as corporate and fundraising events.
We had chicken fingers and pizza, and both were better than you’d expect at a bowling alley. The party even had a coordinator; he kept the time very on track, and was very accommodating. I’d definitely recommend Plainfield Lanes as a local outing or party spot!

The new ownership has really done wonders here. I just hosted my daughters 11^th birthday party here and the service was impeccable. They were so organized and the party helper they give you for your party was very well trained– her name was Sarah. From the minute I walked in they had a system. I didnt have to do anything– in fact she would not let me do anything! She took care of it all which is not an easy task when it comes to 15– 11 year olds! I just sat back and enjoyed myself! The place is super clean– really fun games, the lazer maze is awesome! I could go on and on! Highly recommend this place for a family night out and/or a birthday party!!!

Very clean, very courteous staff. Kids bowl on a league and we love it. Specials they offer are terrific! Definitely cheaper and nicer than any Brunswick. This is what will keep bringing us back! Support local business!
