Plainfield Veterinary Clinic & Surgical Center

I’m absolutely stunned by the lack of professionalism we received in our short dealing with this place. Being very worried about our cat we knew that she needed bloodwork. The problem is that our cat does not tolerate going to the vet very well, so we decided to have a vet come to our own home in order to incur less stress upon our already sick cat. We scheduled an appointment for 6:30. When 6:45 came around we called them to find out where they were. They said, «our Vet wont be able to come out tonight and meet you as she is too busy, would you like to reschedule tomorrow?» That was it. No apology or anything. I guess they didn’t realize one was necessary, as apparently this is standard operating procedure for this «clinic.»
WE HAD TO CALL THEM TO FIND OUT THEY WERENT GOING TO COME! At this point of the night it was too late to take her elsewhere, never mind the fact that we had scheduled and arranged our entire night around this appointment.

We had to make the tough decision to put out sweet golden down after her being such a faithful member of our family for 15 years. The staff was so compassionate and respectful giving us all the time we needed. They treated our dog with the sweetness and respect she deserved in her last moments. The care they give our dogs in life and in that tough moment we have to say goodbye. Can’t say enough nice things about Dr. Blasso and staff.

Took our dachshund mix to get vaccinated and staff was extremely friendly and helpful! He will be staying with them for 10 days while we go on vacation.

I have never been in such an unprofessional office. When I got there, the staff in the back were yelling at each other (my 1^st clue to RUN!). Then the information I was given the night before wasn’t correct & they blamed it on the «new girl». Needless to say… I won’t be coming back.

My wife and I brought our puppy Kona here for a spay in October 2014. She caught MRSA and we’ve been trying to clear this infection over 5 months and over $ 2k in medical bills later. We live in the Northwest suburbs and only came here because this was the only «approved» vet by the rescue agency. We called to let them know and they didn’t seem to care. Stay away.

I went to another vet hospital in Plainfield for many years and every time I went in there I just felt like another number to them. A friend told me about Dr. Blasso and he is WONDERFUL! He really cares about the animals. He walks in and sits right on the floor with them so everyone can get use to each other. He was very tender and caring towards my dogs and actually listens to you when you have concerns. I know my dogs are in good hands with Dr. Blasso and I highly recommend him!

We had quite the adventure looking for a great vet for our little guy. We went to several before going to Dr. Blasso… It was the greatest find ever! None of the other veterinarians showed the compassion for our dog like he did. I will only trust our dog in their hands and will never go anywhere else. Hands down.
