Playin Thru Golf

Playin’ Thru has always been a professional learning center (See my previous post). However, with their move they have upgraded everything. There are three main areas to focus on: Training, Play, and Staff. The staff here is first notch. Immediately at the door, you are greeted and your bag is taken for you. I felt like a pro, which I am far from, and was treated as such. There is a neat atmosphere of professionalism and comfort (everyone knows your name). I’m not sure how they achieve this, but every time I come here I feel very welcomed. The «Play» part of Playin’ Thru is really cool. They currently have 5 simulators setup for play. (They have plans to add more). This is great place for a group to come and get in a round when the weather sucks. The pace of play is fast and the simulators are top-​notch. The «Training» part is where this place really shines. My instructor, Tom, really got to know me and was able to teach me using different methods, until one stuck. All the bells and whistles are used with cameras and numbers (stuff above my head), but by using these tools, he is able to access where you are and where you need to go. After a lesson, I usually leave sweating (a good thing). He is able to push me and get better out of me than what I imagined I had. I have gone from shooting in the 100’s to shooting in the 80’s. This building is a little hidden, in a warehouse area, but that adds to the «exclusiveness» of this place. They are not done expanding either, soon they are expanding to a bigger training area (same building) and adding a bar. Get in and get better. You will not regret it!

Tom is a true «doctor» of the golf swing and technique! Hands down, the best golf instruction in the area, not to mention club fitting and having the best golf simulators around to play a round of golf on, anytime of the year. Playin Thru is dedicated to true golf performance. This is no big box golf shop, this is where you go if you want to play REALLY well…
