Service King Collision Repair of Plainfield

I did a walk in yesterday afternoon at 3:00, a Friday. I wanted an estimate to fix my rear bumper, I had backed into a pole and the bumper was pushed out by the rear wheel. I had already received estimates from another auto repair shop and just wanted a comparison. Chinda, the technician came out, took the car the into the back and not 10 minutes later came out with the bumper repaired. WOW! No charge to boot! WOW! I recognize we all have different experiences with businesses as I have as well but I do feel this deserves a shout out for the experience. The other shop said they would need the car all day to do the repair so I know where I won’t go back to the next time. Thank you, Chinda! You made my day!

This place has had our car for a week. When my husband called yesterday afternoon to get an update/​eta, they said, «we are waiting for you to sign and return the release forms we sent last week». REALLY!!! They said they sent in an email on ²⁄₄ (they picked up our car on ²⁄₁) They never emailed anything, nor did they say we needed to sign a release. We called them through our insurance company. Last night 2/​8, they email page 1/​3, of the release form. REALLY?!!
My impression about this place is that they are dishonest. Who, in good conscience will choose to work with dishonest people. Not me!
I saw that there were no Unilocal reviews yet, so I read the reviews for the Naperville location, not good.
It is my plan to contact our agent and have our car taken to a reputable location with excellent Unilocal reviews.
