We had our carpet stretched– a service that took 32 minutes. How do I know the exact time you ask? Well he brought a stop watch and anything over 30 minutes I was charged by the minute. Nice.
Overall I was very pleased with the service. Again, didn’t take a long time; was within the window-​hour he said he would be there; however… you pay for your carpet stretched ($ 159 and change…) and that’s what you get. Furniture– YOU move it. Scraps of rug cut away after being stretched– YOU throw away. A pretty basic service in my opinion (but again, something I couldn’t have done on my own). I may have to consider changing occupations at $ 159 for 30 mins! ha ha
But honestly, I was happy. Until he left and I was putting some things back in my closet only to find out he didn’t re-​hinge my door properly and now it wouldn’t shut. So… now my husband has to play mr. fix-​it. But again, I didn’t read the fine print but I’m sure that «taking off closet door so I can stretch the carpet» was not included in the $ 159 service fee.
I shopped around… other places were more expensive (by about $ 50), but they moved the furniture. All in all, I’d call back for another service but this time definitely check that everything is just as it was before they walked through the door!
